I have bakero wire and just recently picked up some cotton wick, I need help in whats the best build for dual coils using cotton wick. I have an Igo-W and am struggling to get good vapor production with this wick, as I am getting a better overall vape with my previous builds with silica wick..

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I do 3 or 4 wraps around a 3/32 or 7/64 drill bit. Then, I mount them, test fire (with no wick) make sure they all light up evenly. Then I fold a piece of yarn and use a small folded piece of wire to pull the folded over wick through each coil. Then I soak the wicks with juice and let the setup sit for at least one hour (overnight is best). Then I vape away and redrip when the vapor gets warm, that indicates juice is low. Also make sure you are double boiling your cotton before use to get rid of anything that may remain from manufacturing, also this helps with overall flavor.

Thanks for the quick reply,

So are you recommending that I mount the wraps BEFORE I wrap the cotton wick? I'm confused. I will get better results if I mount then insert the cotton? As opposed to Silica wick in which I wrap both coils and then mount??

Definitely do NOT wrap around cotton like it were silica. It'll be too tight for sure, especially with ribbon.

Yes you make the coils first, fire them wickless to stiffen them up a bit and check for hotspots, then tread in your wick. It will be a little loose but you want that when the wick is dry. When its wet it will expand. If you wrap it like silica it will choke the wick and it will taste like crap and burn the cotton, resulting in horrible flavor and a ruined wick. This method also makes it super easy to change wicks. Just pull the old one out dry fire to clean the coils and rethread more cotton. Hope this helps.
