Recently purchased some cotton wick, and its the first time I've ever used cotton.

How exactly is the best way to use cotton wick for dual coils? Any methods I should know about in which it differs between silica? More wick, less wick, compared to silica? I am Sub Ohming my coils and usually vape between .3-.5 with bakero wire on my Igo-W

Please Help!!

My drippers are feeling neglected right now, however when I do use them with cotton:
I use unrolled cotton ball material boiled several times to remove the sizing.
I tear the cotton with the "grain" into strips about 1" wide and roll up with the "grain" going lengthwise.
I create a U wick with each end of the U in a coil.
I make the coils first on a toothpick or qtip stick, install, pull cotton through, and trim off about 1/8" from end of coils.
Other than # of drips it will hold it doesn't seem to matter if the U is short or if I leave some excess.
I do not use sub Ω coils as I use VW with drippers to adjust the vape to where I want it.
12W to 14W is my sweet spot with duals.
I do have to change out the cotton after a day (if I use that dripper all day long) to refresh the vape.
