Problems Wicking with Cotton. Need Help

Ok, I am currently using an igo-w and a Magneto. I have a dual build on there which are 28g nano coils (10 wraps each arpund a paperclip) the coils light up quick and bright and its a great 0.5 build. My issue is the cotton, I have been doing a cotton bed for this but it seems that it does not work or give as mucb vapor as it should. My main issue is that even tho the cotton is wet it still gives a dry hit time to time and also it does not seem to wick very well at all. The center gets dry amd stays that way but the rest is still juiced up. Idk what to do I really like this nano build tho but I need tips on how to wick it or maybe what im doing wrong, maybe if you have this setup pics would help allot.

NOTE: I have also had a similar issue building macro coils I can never get them to wick correctly the wick away from the coil stays wet but the wick closeto the coils are dry and alwayd taste dry. Some tips for this would be awesome.
Thanks so much in advance.

The cotton actually looks pretty dry to me, thats how mine looks before I need to drip more. Plus as said above it does look plenty big, you could definitely shove some cotton in there. I was always told the less cotton the better. But ive never made a cotton bed with super tiny coils either.

Roll up a bit around 6" long. Roll it a bit smaller than the inside diameter of your coil. Run it through the coils, not tight but just loose enough it moves in and out with ease. Clip and leave about 1/2 " on either side. Tuck side that is at the edge of your rda under the coil. Hope I explained that well.

If 2 coils of 28g wire at 10 wraps each gives you .5 ohms then you are wrapping them way to small. 10 wraps of 28g on a 3/32 drill bit will give you approximately 1.8-2 ohms depending on the lead length.

You need to increase the size of the mandrel you are using, lower the number of wraps and YES put cotton through the coils.

Or use lower gauge kanthal, like 26g, on a bigger mandrel, lower the number of wraps and YES Put cotton through the coils.

Main point here is Put cotton through the coils.

As the OP stated, these are nano coils which are usually coils with an ID less than 1/16"...too small to pull an effective wick through. Sometimes referred to as coils on clouds, they're designed to just sit on a bed of cotton.

It appears that the OP used a jumbo size (?) paper clip as a mandrel...I use a standard paper clip mandrel for my coils at ~.5 and it generates massive vapor. In the pictures, looks like too much cotton that appears very dry. Less is definitely more for this setup. For me, too much cotton leads to dry hits much sooner. I find it works much better to have a light fluff of cotton touching only the bottom of the coils. I keep my cotton bed saturated with a little pooling around the edges. Also, chain vaping will likely give you dry hits.
