Cotton?

So I've been using sterilized cotton in my nimbus clone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't have to boil the cotton prior, right?

Sterilized 100% USP cotton is all I use. I don't do anything prior to using it out of the box(it's ONLY cotton, nothing else), other than putting it in a ziploc storage bag to cut down on moisture getting to the cotton when not in use.

Ok, that's what I was thinking. So, there's no actual harm from vaping cotton without boiling?

Some people are using cotton yarn, such as Peaches n Cream. This should be boiled and dried prior to use. Sterile cotton, in the form of cotton balls or rolled cotton, doesn't need to be. It's fine to use right out of the package.

Yeah, a local vendor insisted I boil my cotton when he found out I was using it. He couldn't justify why, but said he read it online. Figured he read it here or something and I was curious to ask. Thanks.

I use 100% cotton cheese cloth- I never have boiled it
