So how does that work? I've been wondering how exactly you use cotton. Or I should say exactly how to build with cotton

It really depends what you're building. Cotton can pretty much be adapted for use in almost any type of atomizer.

Cotton isn't difficult, but in my personal experience, it takes a few tries to get a feel for how much to use. YouTube is one of the best references (for me) when looking for a "how-to". Just do a search for the type of atomizer you're using, and odds are someone has done a cotton build for it.

I just recently switched to cotton. It really is great! I build microcoils in several different RBA. I mean around $3.50 for about a six year supply! You can have a brand new fresh coil whenever you like for penny's. It's really very easy. I learned how from watching you tube videos. Do a search for whatever your wanting to coil. You'll pick it up in no time.

Another one for use less than you might be inclined to put in. I love using cotton. Does take getting used to like others have said. A single cotton ball will rewick your coil a good 3 or 4 times. I've noticed it is easier to know when a dry hit is coming without that stainless mesh burn that we all love.

I used to build protank heads for a friend, but I've never tried doing it with cotton. I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well as anything else. I've used cotton gauze in em, stainless, ekowool. Cotton should do just fine.

I make a micro coil for my pro tank coil and use cotton to wick it. I can then just change out the cotton easily when the taste is less than desirable. I just bought some of the peaches and cream ecru yarn from Wal-Mart that I hear so much about. I am going to try that on my next re-wicking.

I've tried the cotton yarn, didn't like it as much. It wasn't the Peaches and Cream yarn, but some organic Martha Stuart stuff. I prefer cotton balls by a long shot.

According to other posts I have read the peaches and cream from Wal-Mart is the way to go, especially the ecru color which is more of an off white and supposedly untreated. I did try it on my nimbus clone RDA with much success. I loved the flavor and wicking speed. Just have to get the coil the right size so the yarn fits in just right.

I migrated from silica to cotton 6-7 months ago and it's ALL that I use now. Unless I get a brand new RDA with a silica wrap. But I hate silica now. I got my cotton in yarn form from walmart. Its called Peaches N Cream organic cotton yarn. I don't boil it. I don't soak it. I just wrap a coil around it, soak it in juice, and vape it. Cotton RARELY goes dry. I could go a month without getting a single dry hit. But when it DOES go dry, its just as bad as when silica goes dry. Feels like a flame in your throat, slowly burning itself out. Ouch. Luckily, you can get a taste & a feel for when your pulling a dry hit into your mouth so you can blow it out before you inhale it all.

cottons the best though. I like (need) to vape as cheap as humanly possible. I only use RDAs. I only use cotton. I only use the cheapest kanthal I can find. Thats all there is to it.

Get yourself a mod, cotton, kanthal, and some flavorless 18mg nicotine base & your good to go for a month on the liquid, 15 years on the cotton, and 6 months on the kanthal roll. ;)

Have you tried a 5/64 drill bit? I use that, remove one strand from the cut yarn. Also, a 4-40 machine screw fits it very nicely, no strands removed. It doesn't work as well for me, I'm only using a Protank, so the coil was too big. Pretty, but too big.

Thanks for the advice. I will try
