What type of cotton is everyone running on their mods?

Right now, I'm using Cottonman's organic and raw cotton. It's great, with no chemicals added. And NO BLEACH.

It beats having to boil that 99 cent cotton

Generally I run just plain organic cotton from CVS I boil in distilled water for my rda's. Japanese Cotton, and Pima cotton I run in my RTA's. Recently got a sample of Cotton Bacon I am testing in one of my Russian 91's. Have tried bamboo, even hemp which I still run in my other Russian 91% I use only tobacco and RY4 flavors in. Haven't tried Rayon wick yet, though do not plan to. Still I am happy with just basic organic cotton for my general use, depends on how experimentive I wish to get, or when a new product reaches the store I work at to test it out before offering to customers.

Yeah, same here, I've tried but a few of cottons, but I have to say, organic just works for me.

I have been using just a plain organic cotton. Recently I started trying Rayon. It seems to last longer than the cotton, and gives a better vape. Just my opinion

I don't do RBA (yet) but i re-wick my kanger coils with Japanese cotton it works really well but i have been trying rayon wick with good results

I tend to run Japanese cotton on my tanks (well just my fogger...don't really use anything else haha) and rayon on my RDAs. I find the rayon is tougher and can withstand more punishment that my RDAs receive, whereas the Japanese tends to wick a bit better imo. Also easy to work with in that small space. I also have a bunch of organic cotton lying around from before I started using these things...does anyone want it?

I just use organic cotton balls in a bag from Walmart. (or just the one ball, because I've only used up one since I started rebuilding 4 months ago). I don't boil or anything.

I use sterile organic cotton balls (from Walgreens) in my RDAs and Peaches and Cream cotton yarn (from Walmart) in my KFLs. I really like being able to thread two strands of cotton yarn through a microcoil - it's easy to work with and it tastes great.

Currently using KGD japanese cotton pads, have previously used plain old cheap cotton balls, will probably check out the shiseido pads pretty soon.

When I use cotton, it's usually Japanese cotton. Lately I have been using either Rayon or Tencel top.

I'm using "CS being" cotton pads. They look like Koh Gen Do in construction and shape - with all the fibers running in one direction - and they split apart down the center like I've seen people do with Koh Gen Do. Bought it at the local CVS (Long's Drugstore here in Hawaii) on sale for $1.99 for 110 pieces. Been using it for maybe 4-6 weeks now and haven't even used 1/2 of a pad yet.

Pretty sure it isn't "organic", as it has no color imperfections and I have no idea what kind of treatments have been applied to it. I figured that at my rate of use, it can't be too bad. I drip almost all the time and I can pretty much tell when I need to drip to avoid a dry hit. I do get one once in a while, though.

Works very well though. After I thought about it I think the key is that the fibers all run i one direction. I believe that helps the wicking process. Wicking and flavor production is better than with the organic cotton balls I used to use.

All it says is "Made in Japan" and "Manufactured by Daisan K.K." I'll buy some Koh Gen Do when I can find some without ridiculous shipping fees.

I use just plain old "rite aid" organic cotton. I never boil it either. Although, I just received a huge bag of rayon from a fellow member here and I plan on re-wicking a few RTA's with it this week. I've been hearing a lot of good stuff about rayon.

I bought mine from a supply store, but you can't beat enough wicking material to keep you (and a small squadron of friends!) vaping for several years for $12!

When you say raw cotton, what do you mean? Directly out of the field? The reason I ask is because the fields here are turning nice and white and have wondered why I couldn't pick some for vaping.

Depending on the pesticides used, I'd boil the heck out of it, but you can absolutely vape with cotton out of the field. You're bypassing several middlemen!
