You're body acclimating to the new, I found vaping very rough on the throat at first (80pg/20vg 28mg nic juice), but it subsided in about 3-4 days for me. Nic does attribute to throat hit as well as pg (vg is smoother from what I understand), so you can try playing with the mixture to find what you like. Hope this helps and I'm sure someone will chime in with additional options and info.

Just though about this, what kind of set-up are you using? I remember my first cart in my tank wasn't wicking (drawing liquid from the tank) right and would give me very harsh hits. I discovered that by dry pulling (pulling without activating the battery) would draw liquid in to the carto and keep it wet giving me a much better/smoother vapor.

I think the first thing people learn when they switch to vaping is to take a Slower Hit,

The second is whether or not they like High PG e-Liquids.

When I started vaping, there wasn't a lot of choice PG or VG wise. You either got All PG or All VG. For me, All PG was Way Too Harsh. All VG was Smooth but didn't have as much Flavor.

I found that for me, I like 30%PG:70%VG.

So if a person is starting out, and has two weeks of so under their belt, and feel their e-Liquids are Harsh or make them cough, I would suggest trying higher amounts of VG.

But of course, YMMV

Great news is your not smoking. I'm proud of you for that. You're going to save a lot of money if you stick to vaping. I had dry mouth at first but that was from not smoking cigarettes anymore. Your mind will try and trick you into thinking these are bad and cigarettes are good. Don't give in. This vaping is saving lives. I predict tabacco companies out of business in the US after 5 or so years. The person(s) who invented these should get the nobel prize in my eyes. I hope they are rich because for the lives they are saving, they deserve that much. These (to me) are the greatest things since sliced bread. I am convinced and now consider myself a 100% ex-smoker.

Nicotine is your throat hit...the higher mg, the harder the hit but be careful not to make yourself sick. PG is a flavor enhancer that some folks find to be harsh. VG is your vapor producer, can mute some flavors, and smooths the vape. Drink plenty of water. For me, lack of water makes anything I vape extremely harsh.

I had a harsh start to vaping yesterday, but drinking green tea after each vape has helped. Make sure you get the real stuff, Made in Japan. I made a liter-plus in the morning, and kept taking small cups throughout the day...it certainly helped me.

The best way to make green tea is to heat water until steam starts rising, before you see any bubbles form (87 deg Celsius/189 deg Fahrenheit is the recommendation). Take the water off the heat and add a teaspoon of green tea and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. Stir if necessary...just make sure the leaves sink to the bottom of the water. Filter the tea and keep it in a thermos near you, along with a little 4-6 oz cup. Voila!

Hi as an addition the type of atomizer can also vary your vaping experience normally 510 are for throat hits and vapor, try a 901 or 306 atty if you prefer flavor and vapor. Also high voltage vaping tends to increase the throat hit because of hotter vapor intake. So its not only the nic content but also other factors that give you that throat hit. Hope this helps.
