Glad to hear that my cough is not an unusual reaction. I don't recall reading about this possibility on ECF, and wish it was more "out in the open" of a topic to noobs. Ditto the dehydration factor. I did drink far more water yesterday, and I think I only woke up once last night with the dry cough.

Now on to another symptom: stuffy nose. I have had one now for past 2 days, and it would logically go hand-in-hand with the dehydration factor. Yes? Also a funny, thicker throat feel.

GAD this is becoming a pain in the ... at the beginning!

The info. is there... sometimes it's difficult to figure out how to navigate the forum when you're new. Here is a link to a good thread to read http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html (Read all the way through for info on vaping symptoms too)

Good to hear you are sleeping better and coughing a bit less. I think you're like many, just need to get used to vapor.

I still think you're having some post nasal drip (thicker throat feel and your stuffy nose has gotta drain somewhere). Try some saline nasal spray and maybe a salt water gargle. If you are really concerned, do see that Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor... Could be from summer pollens, dust/dirt (planting anything lately or doing some cleaning?) could be from the flavoring ingredients or PG in your liquid, but you won't know until you make some orders for some different liquids (try smaller sample bottles from vendors).

Well, smoking is a bigger pain in the ... in the END...

Keep drinking that water!

strange, i have a slightly different problems that yours. i've found i've been waking up with a sore throat for the last week or so after quitting analogs over 3 months ago. i'm vaping 70pg/30vg and am thinking that i'm allergic to PG. however, switching to 100% VG, i started coughing like you mentioned in your post so now i'm a little bit at a loss as to what to do.

actually, when i first started, it was with the 100% PG juice from Totally Wicked, which i didn't really enjoy as it would irritate my throat and i found the vapor production was very low. So I switched to 100% VG which gave good vapor production but made me cough from time to time and so switched to the 70PG/30VG which seemed to work best in terms of TH and vapor. but now, as i mentioned, I'm waking up with a sore throat every morning... i'm starting to lose hope. :-( the thought of spending $$$ on various combinations is not very attractive...

We almost all get some throat irritation when we first start (VG can help some) so maybe you can try going back to just PG and see if it makes a difference for a few days.

Some flavors seem to kill the vapor in pure PG liquid... but generally, you should get plenty of clouds with 100% PG liquid. Try a new flavor?

If you can vape PG with noticeable improvement, then add very small amounts of VG (which you can get in WalMart) to it to see how you do as you increase it? Just a small amount of VG can make a nice difference in vapor too. Really though, more voltage makes for the great vapor regardless. Are you using one of the big batteries or mods?

I understand about the money... now is a great time to buy with the Holiday sales though!

If you're not using cartomizers, try some 100% VG juices, they are so smooth and nice on the throat plus tons of vapor. I'm a singer and I can't handle anything harsh on my throat either, so I use 6mg nic juices and I still get my craving satisfied without feeling like my throat is being ripped up. If I try a friends stronger juice, I usually start coughing
