Hi all...I posted my first message yesterday about finally finding the perfect e-juice for me, which has kept me off cigarettes since the day it arrived. Today is my 3rd full day without a cigarette (longest I've gone in 10-15 years), and I have been vaping away! I have noticed yesterday & today that I am coughing quite a bit, and its a rather "productive" cough if you know what I mean. It seems to have been getting worse since yesterday. I've got some junk in my lungs so I've been coughing that nasty stuff up the last couple of days. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it go away? I can't figure out if this is a side effect of the vaping, or if its just my lungs clearing themselves out now that I'm not actually smoking. I never really had a smokers cough before though, which is why I'm wondering where this came from. Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Daniele

It's all that ucky tar attached to your lungs breaking lose and coming up, it will slow down as time goes on and come to a hault soon, keep vaping away and congrats on quitting daniele25. The more you vape, the better of a mod and juice you happen to come across you will enjoy even more so now too.

That's completely normal. It probably has nothing to do with vaping; coming off tobacco will cause a cough because your lungs are healing themselves. All of the sudden, your hairs grow back, and your body starts being able to expel all the tar and other crud that's been in there. It's a good thing :) and it will go away eventually. How long it takes depends on how much crud you have to get rid of.

But don't be worried, it's definitely a good thing.

Like others have said, it's completely normal. In layman's terms, it's your bodies way of getting all of the toxins and junk out of your body. You should be getting better in a few weeks. Also, your gonna need some cinnamon or menthol juice when your taste buds take a break. So, everything is going to taste like nothing for a few weeks.

When all of this has passed. You should be breathing and tasting better then you have for a long time. Congratulations on quitting cigs and.........

Congrats, Daniele. !!!

I am having the same thing happen here. Today is day 3 for me with no analogs and same thing all around. I also have some thoughts as to why.....

First of all its normal to get a runny nose, couging up stuff etc in general when you quit smoking.

Second of all the ingredients in PG are the same as whats in breathing treatments which are made to make us have productive coughs etc. I don't know if thats whats happening but its MHO and it makes sense to me. :) I am told after a few weeks it will subside and also to drink a lot of water.

Cheers,

Kristin

Its so nice to hear something about this too, me too experienced this coughing since i quit smoke and make vaping an alternative for my vice. i remember a night when a continous coughing and itchy feel inside my lungs and i am almost vomiting cause of it. I taught something was wrong on my vaping. im greatly relieved to know the reason why.

thanks!
