So I've tried 2 different e-juices from the same vendor. One I can take just fine, smooth, and I love it. The other I end up coughing. I don't THINK I'm doing anything different between the two. One is 'strawberry' at 10 mg, which is the one I can vape just fine. And I love it to death. The other is Caramel Cinamon tobacco, at 14mg-that's the one that makes me cough. Both are 80/20, both are from Vapors Choice. I LOVE the taste of them both (especially the cinnamon flavored one) but my body is not liking it at all. They're both in the same set-ups (different tanks though)

So what would you do? Is there a troubleshooting at this point?

The Tobacco flavored juice may need to steep for a week or so. You did not mention if you tried both as soon as you got them. The 4mg of nicotine would not be that much of a change. Otherwise, cut down on the amount you draw in on the Caramel Cinnamon Tobacco it maybe too many mixed harsh flavors (Cinnamon and Tobacco). Just guessing on all the above.

Most vendors recommend steeping their liquids for a week. I have found that some of the sweet juices can be vap'd as soon as I rip open the mail. :) Always steep anything Tobacco or the Red Hots/Cinn/etc flavor line.

Glad to see you with us here at ECF. PAD for 40+ years and just getting the hang of this vaping.

Alright. I think I'm going to save this thread, as its really informative.

So steep tobacco and hots. Any others that definitely need steeping after purchase?

Yes, most all of them. The flavors take time to develop. Some are okay right away and you can vape them, but waiting will just make it better. Fruits especially, they need time.

I have seen a lot of issues with juice that has cinnamon. I know of one that was vaping a cinnamon and it melted his Vivi Nova tank and they are not prone to do that.
Like the old joke goes Patient " Doctor it hurts when I do this", Doctor " Well stop doing that". You may have just found something you can not tolerate. If you have a VV try lowering the voltage a bit and see if it goes away.
Check to see if the juice has a TH substance added. There are things that can be added besides nicotine that will give a TH/Throat Hit.
Hope this is of use. Juice seems to be a very personal thing what works for one may not for others and some have allergies that others don't then there is the whole taste thing that is really subjective.
