could do with some advice...

i bought a titan 510 the other week and its a great machine, clouds of vapor and good taste. but its just not for me.

it being my first e cig i thought i would want something with an auto switch and looking like a cigarette. but it turns out that having to take it apart to put it in my pcc and things really are annoying.

i am looking for a device that makes clouds of vapor, doesn't look like a cig and has a manual switch. the four that it has come down to is the Janty stick, GG, Screwdriver and prodigy. i am leaning towards the JS (V2 when they make it) because of its button positioning, smallness and how it would be easy to pop in my pocket.

any advise would be really great. oh and take into consideration that its for my main vape.

Until Janty gets the bugs worked out, don't rely on the stick as your only gear....there are lots of problems being worked out.....I'd give the stick a month or two before feeling confident enough to recommend it as an "only gear" devise. Don't get me wrong, if there is a problem with the thing, Janty WILL make it right, and right quick (I have a replacement en route as we speak)....but reliability at this time....meh. You will need a back-up product if you go to the stick.

Aside from that issue, I do love my little stick....it's a very compact, adorable little PV. Th draw is, almost at times, too easy, but produces tons of vapor and throat hit in abundance. The battery life is fantastic, and being able to vape and charge at the same time is unique to the PV world at this time.

The prodigy is still in backorder status, with Steve @ puresmoker working his fingers to the bone to get out orders (and I'm in that circus, too....)

The SD is tried and tested....one of the longest running innovative mods on the market. (had one - sold it)

Don't have the GG - can't give you recommendations on it, but I'm sure someone will be along to put in their .02


I just realized....I have far, FAR too much gear on my hands.... good luck with your decision.

Manual batteries for the DSE801 penstyle are supposed to be available in a week or two from Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop. Save the $150 for a SD and spend like $25-$30 for a manual 801 IMO.

I use my janty dura c manual as my back-up to the janty stick manual. I love the JS and have just ordered the V2. If you order today there is a 10% discount at the jantyusa website (ooops = coupon code).

Hi Vsca!

Can list a few points re the SD which I have had for 2 or 3 weeks now.
The SD button is a bit of a pain for small fingers to get used to at first, but it is a well-crafted fantastic vaping machine! I like to vape as I walk and none of the smaller e-cigs are v good for that. I don't have to draw hard on the SD, it does the vaping for me! Rechargeable batt lasts me more than a day. It is not that big, and you can put it on a lanyard for handiness.


Re the other ones:
The Prodigy current version is bigger than the SD. I agree, the next model of the JS should be better than the current one - they've had durability probs with Mark 1.

I'm an SD user and hence (as we all do) tend to favour what I'm used to and like.

I've found the SD durable and reliable and cheap to own (if not buy )

Reading the threads on here and other forums, I'd be wary of the JS and Progidy as they are new and haven't had the benefit of the the lengthy "user testing" than the SD and indeed GG have had.

yeah i've kinda ruled out the prodigy.

the thing is i like the metalness of the SD but i like the shape/design of the JS.

i dunno, the stick is half the price. it really is a 50/50 decision atm.

Very little data on it and they're saying an 'October release'. The 510 adapter for the JS is supposed to be out soon, if it isn't already. But I'm grabbing a few more 510 passthroughs - just hooked one up with a wall socket>USB set up and it works just fine. Also have a car lighter>USB plug but haven't checked out the PT on that yet. Good project for tomorrow but don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. IOW, I can wait until October

Remember that the the SD and JS are really just batteries, being big battery jobs, they will get the best out the atomisers you use BUT it is the choice of atomiser that defines vapour/flavour characteristics.

eg a 901 enabled device will have more flavour but less vapour than a 510 enabled device which will provide less flavour but more vapour. The 801/penstyle atomisers are different again...
