Hey everyone!

So I was heavily drinking last weekend and ended up losing my e-Cigarette. We were outside so by now it has rained and will be toast. I do however have an atomizer and some cartridges left.

This left me with the question.. could I run my own 'power supply' and vaporize with just the cartridge/atomizer? I have an AT power supply that has the 3.3v, 5v out..

I had the Joye510.

I've done some digital electronics so I have tools, wire, etc. Idealy this would just be temporary. I am out of money for the next couple weeks.

Thanks in advanced! I'm starting to nic hard !

Yes you can use the 4 pin molex to power the atty, you will need to use the red (+5vdc) and the black (ground) wires on the AT power supplys molex connector. You will also need a 3A switch inline on the red wire so the setup will look like the picture below. You will either have to solder directly to the atty threads (ground) and center post (+5vdc) or use aligator clips if you want to the atty in the future.

Please note that running an AT power supply outside of the computer case should be placed in a safe well ventilated position away from possible spills. These power supplies are different than the standard power supplies as they are more susceptible to moisture and spill as they are not sealed. Since the other connectors are open to the air you might think about covering them with electrical tape. I would defiantly recommend securing all exposed connections with electrical tape, as well as the switch itself. While I have seen people add this feature to their computers and run a PT cable directly from an unused molex connection I would not recommend this as a long term solution outside of the case. The connection to the atty should be covered in some manner to prevent shock and or shorting using electrical tape since you do not have a battery connector to screw it into. I would also recommend 22 - 18ga electrical wire.
Hope this helps,
Dan
