Could my new set-up be causing too much nicotine issues?

I recently switched from a cigalike to an Ego-c twist and an iTaste, along with a mini vivi nova and some iClears.

And I notice that now I feel... jittery sometimes. I never had that problem with the cigalike setup.

I'm going through a lot of stress right now with relationship issues and medical issues. Could it just be anxiety and stress or is it possible that this new setup is delivering nic more effectively and I need to lower my nic level?

Has anyone had to raise or lower their nic levels depending on the gear they were using? I want to order more juice but I'm not sure what level to order at this point.

Id say you are getting more nic from what your using now over what you were. I vaped my self ill when I went from egos to a mod. I also dont vape some of the higher nic juice I have in my RBAs or genys so yes you might have to lower your nic content but thats not a bad thing.

If you get 2mg lower you can mix it with what you have then when you reorder get the lower one and you will have gradually reduced your nic intake.

Yes, I have noticed definite differences in my perception/experience of nicotine strength, to the point where I had to cut the nic strength of the liquid I was using in half - from 11-12 to 6 mg - to avoid the nasty feeling of nic overload.

It happened with an iClear30. The double coil wicking system simply made everything at least twice as strong and heady. Really uncomfortable feeling. Then I tried it with some 6 mg liquid I happened to have, and it was great. I could really enjoy it. I can use my "normal" liquid in the ProTank and the CEs with no problem, but the iClear has got to be a lot weaker.

I now have a policy of buying a bottle of the strength I am currently using (somewhere between 8 and 11) and a bottle of the same flavour at 0mg. Then I simply dilute the liquid when I want to use the iClear30. I also do this to be able to use up the 16-18 mg stuff I still have so as not to waste it.

The other good thing about this is my nic level is going down quite steadily, which is pretty cool too.:)

What nic level are you vaping? 12mg, 18mg, 24mg? How often are you vaping and how long have you been vaping?

Your new devices are more powerful than the Blu I started out on. I am using a Spinner now. I use 24mg nicotine because the 18mg I still had cravings. I have to lower the nic at night to get to sleep. Slow down a bit.

I believe that you will get more nic with the "bigger and better" delivery systems. Try ordering the same juice flavors in two or three different nic levels (along with a few extra 5 or 10 ml bottles for mixing). That way you can mix the juice to adjust the nic level to suit your needs. A lot of people prefer to use different strength juice throughout the day and night. Using a lower mg juice in the evening, for instance, may help you unwind and sleep better. While a higher mg in the morning, after meals or when dealing with stressful situations may work better.

Hi

The answer is: Yes! It could be any and all of that, separately or in combination.

I'm not being flip. I know you have been going through major stress x10. So let's sort it out and try to put it all back together.

Cigalikes tend to be weak. Weak batteries that a lot of people comment on regarding a drop off in vapor and throat hit performance very quickly with a freshly charged battery. You new stuff (nice stuff, BTW) is going to give you a much more consistent performance across the battery run time. You may have been getting less nic with the cigalike as the battery voltage dropped as it's used. It seems to be how cigalike batteries work - not much regulation going on there.

Then there's all that stress. It could just be the stress expressing itself. Only you will know about that one.

Then there's all that stress. You may have ramped up your vaping level in response and not even noticed it. Are you going through more liquids these days and perhaps didn't even notice? Dunno about you but I used to smoke a lot more when my stress level went up. You can do the same thing with vaping too.

Stuff to consider...

Well the fixes, the vaping fixes, are easy enough. Drop your nic level and see what you get. That's all there is to it. This might be a temporary thing - like if you believe you are doing more vaping in response to stress. Or more permanent if you find that your new devices are simply working that much better than the cigalikes. If you have a lot of liquid on hand that you want to cut down, see if you can get the same flavors in very low nic levels and mix. You could just get some unflavored low nic stuff too - but that will cut down the flavors of your liquids.

Very short term - if you still have cigalike supplies on hand drop back to the cigalike until you can get the nic level in your liquids dropped.

Thinking good thoughts - you need 'em kiddo.

Hey Rickajho, I never thought of that about the cigalike battery performance not being consistent... it's actually one of the reasons I got the Twist and the iTaste, I needed more consistency. But that may mean that I'm now getting more nic than I want. Very interesting.

Great idea to get a bottle of 0 nic of my favorite juices, then I can always mix to whatever my needs are at the time. I am thinking that I will order some lower nic juices and then some 0 nic as well. That way no matter what happens I can always have what I need on hand.

Great input from everyone, thanks!

PS- significant other is gone, moved out yesterday. I was a chicken .... and bailed while he was here. What is it with men who never tell you why they do the things they do!?! I mean, I'd like to know what the real reason was he moved out- it certainly wasn't the reasons he was giving me... If it was me and I did something wrong- I'd like to know so I can correct that in the future. If he met someone else- I'd like to know so I don't have to obsess over the why's. If he's just a big ......... weenie- I'd like to know so I can feel superior and gloat. Ya know, that important stuff. Silence is NOT golden dudes!!!
