Sure, the legal sale of pain medicine that contained ......., lol. The FDA has shut down more companies than the IRS. If the FDA is so great and does full research then why are there so many lawsuits against FDA approved devices like mesh implants and such. Then why are there lawsuits against drugs that cause cerebral palsy (zoloft, paxil), which is what my son suffers from and why I'm a stay at home dad. The FDA is like the TSA, it provides a false sense of security but little to no security or safety at all.

I agree with sonicbomb, they are losing money from the cigarettes and want to make their pockets a little fuller with taxing and regulating the eciggs. Even though it has helped many people to quit the stinkies including me.. I smoked for over 30 years a pack and half a day until the day I purchased an ego kit. Never had another... We are adults and shouldn't have to have big brother tell us what we can and can not do... I could go on and on about them.. I am just making sure that I will have enough to last for a few years...

It doesn't matter if they have regulated any other out or not. Between wanting to make it impossible for anything post 2007 to get approved, outrageous fees, not just per vendor, but per flavor and nic strength, and taxes that will kill off most B&M's with added restrictions making on-line sales almost non existent, you are getting ready to see it done to vaping.

Bottom line, we are not wanted. They want to protect the money in their pockets not the avg person.

The FDA won't even back [removed] that is the only thing that keeps my fiancé with epilepsy from having seizures. They would rather sell you a bunch of "FDA approved" medication that comes with the side effects of; Suicidal tendencies, mood swings, depression, anger, anxiety, seizures (imagine that, an anti seizure drug that causes seizures), and death. Yet a plant that grows from the ground and is harmless is banned by the FDA.

The FDA doesn’t give a rat’s ... about you or your family. They are run and backed by big money politicians and have another agenda; which is money. DON’T TRUST THE FDA; THEY ARE NOT FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE.

Career Politicians Are A Cancer On Democracy. They Breed Alphabet Organizations (FDA, CDC, WHO, etc) That Edict And Are Responsible To No One, Except The 'Political Flies' That Appoint Them. It Is Way Past Time That We The People Have Had Enough. If You Are A Career Politician And My Vote Counts You Will Be Unemployed.
I'm Mad As Hell And I'm Not Gonna Take It Anymore!

Red herring. The big tobacco companies and a few large vaping companies will survive the excessive regulations and over 99% of vaping related companies will fold. Also gone will be our freedom of choices in juices, and we will pay far more. That sir, is the point

I think they are on a roll...

FDA Pushing To Regulate Homeopathy Out Of Existence

A sentence in the most recent version of the 400.400 document with regards to FDA regulation of homeopathic medicine may provide a clue. Until recently, homeopathic drugs have been marketed on a limited scale by a few manufacturers who have been in business for many years and have predominantly served the needs of a limited number of licensed practitioners… Today the homeopathic drug market has grown to become a multimillion dollar industry in the United States, with a significant increase shown in the importation and domestic marketing of homeopathic drug products.

FDA is Attempting to Quash the Dietary Supplement Industry
if adopted, could result in loss of access by consumers to thousands of dietary supplements already on the market.

The FDA isn't looking to kill the vape industry.
That's not how it works.

History will educate you more than a discussion forum.
See the medical industry for a peek at how the FDA exerts it's influence with regulations for profit.
With your tax dollars they will hijack the industry.

"The end of the patent medicine era"

"Muckraker journalists and other investigators began to publicize instances of death, drug addiction, and other hazards from the compounds. This took some small courage on behalf of the publishing industry that circulated these claims, since the typical newspaper of the period relied heavily on the patent medicines.[citation needed] In 1905, Samuel Hopkins Adams published an exposé entitled "The Great American Fraud" in Collier's Weekly that led to the passage of the first Pure Food and Drug Act in 1906.[8] This statute did not ban the alcohol, narcotics, and stimulants in the medicines; it required them to be labeled as such, and curbed some of the more misleading, overstated, or fraudulent claims that appeared on the labels. In 1936 the statute was revised to ban them, and the United States entered a long period of ever more drastic reductions in the medications available unmediated by physicians and prescriptions. Morris Fishbein, editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association, who was active in the first half of the 20th century, based much of his career on exposing quacks and driving them out of business."

(The Pure Food and Drug Act directly resulted in the creation of the FDA.)

Well, you did ask for one.

The FDA doesn't exist to abolish industries, it exists to place the profits of those industries into specific hands.
So the short answer is no, I cannot name an industry that the FDA has forced into nonexistence.
Exactly. Those in power do whatever they can to stay in power, even collaborating with those they are supposedly against
