So I've decided to buy a G6; however, I'm not completely sure on which one yet, as in 65mm vs 78mm as well as automatic vs manual. I had planned on picking up a G6 kit, but I already have an AC outlet-to-USB adapter from my Triton kit as well as some mini tanks, so I don't see the point in buying a G6 starter kit.

I had originally planned on buying the automatic battery, because then I have both of my hands free, but I worry about the battery activating when it's in my pocket or something--I've had this issue with BluCigs before.

So, what I'm asking is:
  • I know there is a 100 mAh difference, but if I'm just using it while at a social gathering or something (because it is more discrete than a Triton), unless I'm taking drags the entire time, really, is there a noticeable difference in battery life between the two sizes?
  • Weight. Would the larger battery's weight make it difficult to use the G6 hands free?
  • Does the automatic battery activate easily? Will it activate in my pocket when I'm sprinting to the bus stop?
  • How are the refillable cartomizers compared to the Minitanks? I believe that they (the cartos) are reusable, if I clean it well (or continue using the same flavor), is that correct?
  • Lastly, any input on the color :D ?

I use my Triton at work, so I doubt the G6 would replace it (because I can go through an entire Triton tank while at work), and discretion at work isn't an issue because I know people at work with APVs. I was sold on vaping when I met someone at work who was vaping and telling me about how he hasn't had an analog for 100 days.

So as of now, my shopping cart is just two 30mL bottles--one Tribeca and one Kringle's Curse.

And wow, Tribeca from a minitank is okay, but from a Triton tank? Fantastic.

Oh, and if anyone has both G6 battery sizes, if it's not an issue, could you please upload a picture with both, with a carto or minitank attached if possible? Trying to get a size comparison outside of using a ruler and holding my minitank next to it.

IMPORTANT!!! If you get G6 batteries you need to get the G6 usb adapter! You cannot charge the G6 with the Triton usb adapter or vice versa. Others will be able to answer your size questions as I don't own the G6. But this I do know: you need a G6 usb adapter to charge G6 batteries and the Triton adapter to charge Triton batteries!

Get a couple of each charger, backups for your backups!!!

If you want hands free the 65mm is the only way to go the 78mm is too heavy for hands free. But you'll get a noticeable difference in battery life with the 78mm.

The automatic G6 battery is not touchy like some older cig-a-like batteries were perhaps being sealed makes the difference. I just now tried to get mine to fire and couldn't get it to without drawing on it like your suppose to. I haven't had that problem with mine when vaping outside and it has been pretty windy here lately.

If you didn't have the Triton I would suggest that you get 1 manual battery for dry burn etc but you have a Triton so I would only get automatics.

I mostly use the cartos with mine because the mini tanks run warmer than I like but if you like it warmer you may want the low resistance cartos. And yes you can clean them like you do the mini tanks but it does take longer to dry them. I just keep them refilled with the same flavor then toss it when vapor and flavor are to minimum. I'm still using the same ones after 4 weeks. But I only use the G6 in public and work. I use the Triton at home.

I would get another starter kit for $44.99. If you buy individual you need 2 battery's $12.99 each, pack of cartos $8.99 and you'll need the usb connecter for the G6 to charge $6.99. That totals $41.96 for $3.04 more you'll have an extra wall plug ($9.99 value) and the cool starter case (priceless ;)). The wall plug is the same as the Triton but the usb connectors are different.

Give me a second and I'll post a picture for ya. ;)

Ah, yeah I forgot to mention that I would only buy the USB adapter since I have 2 AC-to-USB adapters already (what they call the wall charger).

Thanks! I really appreciate it. Yeah I suppose the starter kit is a bargain--my original plan was just 1 battery + usb adapter, but plans change.

The g6's are all small. I'm using a 78auto with mini tank now. I also have a 102mm manual, which seems long with a minitank attached, but still small at the same time. The 78 I can use hands free (i just tried), although it feels a bit heavy. A carto is shorter than a minitank and would make it easier.

The only reason I'm using my g6's right now is because I loaned one triton out, lost one triton, broke my VV (slept on top of it a couple times and eventually pulled it apart taking it out of my pocket, snapping internal wires). 2 new VV's are in the mail though :) G6 battery's just dont last with the way I vape.

Thanks for all the input. I was debating ordering more minitanks before the 20% code ends, but I'm leaning towards ordering more liquid, since I have 3 minitanks that work and 3 triton tanks that work.

Lastly, any input on color? Decisions decisions. I apparently chose 'Classic White' both 65mm automatics, but any other suggestions??

The G6 got me off of analogs, I have 5 G6 batteries in all different colors that I used for 5 months before getting my Tritons. Haven't touched the G6's since, but as far as cig-a-likes are concerned, they are good. On average you will get 33% more draws from the 78mm vs. 65mm. I would always default to the battery with more mAh's and life. They aren't too heavy to hold between your lips hands free, but that's IMO... and I highly recommend the AUTOMATIC.

I have tested the sensitivity of the automatic's function by blowing into the tip creating a vacuum, which immediately kicks the battery on and won't turn off until the 5-second cut-off. It takes a solid blow before the battery activates. It shouldn't ever go off in your pocket. Leave the manual button to the Triton.

Your 3 Triton tanks will last forever, given the fact you can screw in new coil/wicks. The mini tanks...not so much. I would skip the current .80c (20%) off the mini tanks and plug in the ECFTEN2014 coupon for 10% off of all the juice you want to order.

As far as color is concerned, this is less scientific and more personality based. If you're male, the emerald green and midnight blue both have a darker base color. The white seems to show dirt and grime. Jet black and Titanium are classy, and Electric Lime pops.

About Triton colors... All the colors have that satin "rubbery" feel like the G6s have, except for 2.
The iridescent is shiny metal. And I'm just not sure about the titanium. And the LED is coordinated with the bat color.

And the pics on Halo's site does not do the iridescent justice. There's a lot more red/orange/yellow on the ones I have.
