Could you shorten a Zmax to a shorter 16450 16500 size?

Strange question right? I want a Zmax rev 2. I don't love its length. Seems to me that if the thing will run 2 18350's (with extender cap) it should run a single 18450 - 500. this would allow me to shorten the chassis to a more manageable size.

I'm not sure how exactly that mod works. But if it uses the tube as a ground, you could chop it down to the proper length, tap it (finding a tap this large may be difficult / expensive ... I think), then screw everything back together.

I'm actually thinking this may have an insert or press fit screw threads in the barrel. As that is the less expensive way to produce. I might have to order and see. I'm thinking worst case I take the two pieces to my nearest shop and pay the man to do the job.

Yes i would take it to a shop if it would not cost to much . I'm wondering if there will be other zmax 's that eventually come out for different battery configurations as well the way there starting to churn these devices out nowadays.

You could always get the telescoping Zmax. I have not seen any vendors here in the states selling it, but there they are on Alibaba. Chinese are putting out new stuff everyday it seems.
