Tripple digits half way to home
Well after ordering a KGO kit plus a vision nova mega and also a nova slim yesterday, I couldn't stand to wait for the shipping. I found a store in Midwest City (The Vapor Hut, about 35 miles away) and am now the proud owner of a eGo-C twist. I also got a vivi nova while I was there. The people were super super nice and helpful. Let me try out a few flavors while I was there. Now let my questions begin. The the tank that came with the kit (I know that's not the right name but it's the top piece you put the juice in) are desposible. If I want to swap out juice is it ok to let the first one sit with juice in it, while I use the second one.
Also the lady said I shouldn't charge the twist from a laptop cause it might harm the battery. This doesn't make sense to me but I want to make sure. My Laptop has the same usb that my car and also desktop have at work.
Finally for a while how the heck do you carry one of these things with you. I'ts a lot bigger than I thought it would be. And do you suggest standing it up or is it ok to lay it on it's side with the tank on. Do I need to seperate the tank from battery before bed or just leave it so I can grab it during the night?
So far I've only had it about 2 hours but have no desire for an analog yet.
This Forum ROCKS you all are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha!! You're just as impatient as I am (I paid for overnight shipping to get my first one)

Now, let's see if I can answer your questions.

I actually carry my bits and bobbles in a glasses case with an extra folded paper towel to soak up any possible leakage.

I HIGHLY doubt it would harm the battery on your laptop, but since those aren't cheap, I might not do so as a "better safe than sorry" precaution. I have my passthrough hooked up to my computer as well as my regular charger and have never had an issue. I charge mine on my netbook when I'm at the university for the weekend and have never had an issue (6+ months doing this)

I have a Vivi Nova, a mini vivi, DCTs, XL cartomizers, and the eGo tanks, and have never had a problem with laying them on their side. My DCTs almost always leaked no matter what I did (so I switched, as of yesterday, to the Vivi series).

I don't separate mine except to charge. I know some people are ADAMANT that you must disconnect them, but I'm a slacker/lazy-pants and I don't.

And last, but not least, WELCOME!!

Welcome to ECF! I charge my 510 batts on my laptops at work and at home and have never had an issue. There is always some bit of risk when dealing with batteries and electricity, but in my 2 years of vaping I have plugged in countless batteries to my laptop and a couple of passthroughs and have NEVER had any issues.

The Twist is better served charged from the newest USB ports out today the USB version 2.0 and older may not pump enough juice for the charger. Its better to be safe than sorry. I use my wall charger only for mine.

Do not stand the Twist up with a tank on it it is LONG and will fall over damaging your clearos and tanks. It is fine to lay it down. You may have to crank the volts up after you wake up to vape the very wet wick to normal but I have never had issues laying my twist with the Vision V2 clearos over.... the "tanks" should not be a prob either.

Seperating the batt from the tank at night is pretty much useless IMO.

The best advice is charge appropriately clean the batt dry and never overtighten!!! :) happy vaping!

USB Types

USB offers three standards; USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. The first two standards offer the same amperage, 100 mA for unrecognized devices and 500 mA for configured devices, while USB 3.0 ups the power to 150 mA and 900 mA, respectively.
