I purchased an Aris RDA. I was intrigued by the design and the fact that it wouldn't leak as much as a standard RDA design. I've tried multiple setups using both vertical and horizontal coils with no success. I get very little vapor almost none. With the cap off it produces so much vapor when fired but when the cap is on the performance is very poor. I've tried both micro and nano coils at .6 ohms on a dna device at every wattage setting. Do you have any advice or recommendations on how to set up the I purchased an Aris RDA from good guy vapes in Clifton NJ. I got the Aris RDA too and haven't found a great build yet. It works but not as good as my Magma. I love how it looks and that I can see inside and that it doesn't leak like the Magma though.

My guess is that most of the airflow from the center post is going straight up, so if your coils are to the side of it the airflow will pass them by. So normal horizontal coils should be raised above the airholes I think. That would explain why you don't get enough vapor.

So far I have only tried building "outer wicking" coils similar to vertical coils but horizontal facing away from the center airhole post and wrapping a broad strip of cotton around it so that it forces the airflow from the center airpost through the coils. But it doesn't work as well as I want it to. Maybe there is still too much air bypassing the coils.

Anyone has any tips how to build and wick it?

So far I haven't found a really good build but I haven't given up yet. There are a lot of awesome things about this RDA with a lot of love for detail, but the post are kind of in the way if you want to put the coils right in front / above the airflow intake.

If anyone found a good way please let me know too. Maybe something like 45 degree semi vertical cimney coils lol.

I don't get why it doesn't just have 2 posts instead of 3. It makes building way harder.

Not sure if this has been posted but this is the only video I've seed for building the Aris. It's rather long and slow and blurry lol. Vertical coils that are rather big. I'm not sure if that is an ideal build though.

How To Build The Aris Dripping Atomizer (RDA) - YouTube

Maybe the trick is to use vertical coils and have a big cotton piece above the airflow holes so that the airflow is redirected to go around the coils? I haven't actually tried that yet.

I also tried using horizontal "chimney" coils to the left and right of
the airflow post with outside wicking but it didn't work well either.

I really love the look and attention to detail of the RDA but my main problem is the placement of the 3 posts. I would think 2 opposing posts would be much easier and flexible to build.

Aris in the house today. Running a single micro coil with airflow wide open. Cool looking device, leak free (so far), and interesting airflow arrangement. Overall, I am not impressed.

Flavor is below average. Using a juice I know well, I find the flavor less full and a bit muted. I have clones drippers that blow this away.

As expected, vapor production is mediocre due to the tiny chamber. I do not believe this atomizer was ever built to satisfy cloud chasers.

Posts are a little too far apart making it a challenge to get your coil legs and coil positioned. With a horizontal coil, one of the coil legs is always in the way of where I want to put a wick end.

Center conductor on the 510 connector is so far up that the Aris won't fire on an MVP. Heck, everything fires on an MVP. Tried to adjust the center conductor and now the positive post/airflow post assembly pivots inside the juice well.

Glass tank is very loose, and if you do not wipe off the inside of the glass and the o-rings on the base, it does not seal well. On my first go with the Aris, e-liquid collected between the first and second o-ring.

I sent an email to the Council of Vapor to see if they can make this right. I was hoping the Aris would work out on one of my e-pipes.

I just received the Aris RDA. I get decent vapor production from it (it wasn't meant for cloud chasing). It works on all of my mods. I'm not sure if any of you had bought a clone or not. The serial number should be 4 digits with the second and third digit slightly lower than the other two.

I have two coils wrapped 8 times on a 2.4mm pin. I installed the coils slightly above the air flow post (just above the rim of the base). The build is .46 ohms. I wicked both coils but left the channel between the negative posts empty. I get good vapor and no leaks with this setup.

My camera isn't the greatest but hopefully these help:
