All of my previous HG2's have been 3.6 volts. I ones I just received from 101 vapes are marked 3.7 volts. Even their description says 3.6. I don't understand. The new ones came in brown boxes, as well. Anyone know why the discrepancy of 3.6 and 3.7?
Li-ions have a nominal voltage of 3.6 or 3.7, and a full charge of 4.2. 3.6 and 3.7 is more or less the same here, different companies simply use a different number for the nominal voltage.

The way I recall it is some lithiums are 3.6v nominal and 4.10v fully charged. And the others are 3.7v nominal and 4.20v fully charged. Whether you have a 3.6v or a 3.7v one depends on the chemistry.

Could be. I've seen both 3.6 and 3.7 mentioned as the nominal voltage for the same battery. Sellers and rewrappers don't tend to use the correct terms etc.

On higher end lithium battery chargers like those for RC, you can select either 3.6v or 3.7v lithiums. If you select 3.6v, it only charges to 4.10v. If you select 3.7v, then it charges to 4.20v.

Although if you stop charging 3.7v lithiums at 4.10v, it is supposedly doubles the amount of recharges the battery will last at a cost of about 10% reduced capacity. Which most of the time is fine by me. Evolv's EScribe software also takes advantage of this by allowing you to set between max recharges (4.10v) or max puffs (4.20v).
