Well I had a brief stint in court this morning concerning custody of my son which unfortunately still hasn't been decided. But while waiting on the judge who was a half an hour late I was sitting there puffing away on my 510. Quite a few people asked me about it and I gave the explanation and brief education about the e-cig. Quite a few of the people were impressed by it and were even more amazed at the fact that there was little to no smell to the vapor given off. A few of the court clerks were also interested in the device and I gave them a card to my supplier in case they were looking to purchase one. The thing that amazed me the most about it was that no one told me to leave. Security left me alone. And even when the judge had finally arrived and had seen me made no comment about not having to go outside to smoke. I think the judge was a smoker because he had the smell of cigarettes on him. I don't want to say for sure, because I didn't know him. But to say the least, I was at the courthouse vaping away and didn't receive any disgusting looks from anyone. Even with clear no smoking signs everywhere stating no smoking within 50 feet to which I was right next to the door, not one person said that I wasn't allowed to do it there. Out of respect for the courtroom though I did not use it inside. That's one place that I wasn't willing to test my luck in. At least not at that moment.

I vaped in the county courthouse too, lol. Last week, hubby and I were to testify as character witnesses in a child custody hearing for a neighbor of ours. Naturally, there was a thirty minute wait in a small room so it wasn't long before I started vaping. That's when our neighbor's lawyer walked in. I thought....oh noooo...I'm busted for sure. This is when they put the cuffs on me and throw me into the slammer. I can see it all now....the finger prinitng.....my mug shot all over the evening news.....my grandkids all in shock that their beloved grandma is now wearing the orange prison garb and walking strangely in those ankle cuffs, lol. But upon seeing the ecig, the lawyer just asked, "Hey, is that one of those electronic things?" This led to an explanation, of course, but he was super nice and extremely curious as he was trying to stop smoking himself. All he kept saying was how "cool" he thought it was. :D
