So I thought I'd share a couple things I thought were kind of funny, things that happen because of my short stay at ECF...love to hear yours.

1. I was talking to co-workers...and just going on an on about vaping (probably on a nico stimulated rush) and started telling them how I hadn't had any "analogs" in 8 days...after I calmed down, a few of them asked "analogs"?

2. The other thing I found humorous is I come VERY VERY close to sending out reports and powerpoint slides lately, and at the end of my email I sign, "ice"....Whew...good thing I always proof my stuff going out!! LOL I could just imagine the reaction of a bunch of co-workers seeing an email signed "ice" HAHA!

uh... ice

I have found that spending as much time in the New Members forum as I do has stopped me from befuddling all my friends. :D

I'm used to having to slow down and either use common terms, or explain new terms I'm using. And MistressNomad was no problem - I've been using that name for ages.

But people still find it weird that I don't smoke anymore, and am so enthusiastic about a gadget. I'm normally not so geeky. I was one of the heaviest, most shameless smokers I knew. If I was breathing, I was smoking. And I didn't really care what anyone's opinion was. I suppose people just didn't expect me to quit. But despite telling people who had opinions on my smoking to kindly shove it, that doesn't mean I didn't have my own opinion on it. I just hadn't found a way to quit yet. And I was going to do it when I was damn well ready and not a moment sooner.

Also, most of my friends (in Minnesota anyway - people from back in high school), some smoking and some not, are young and the harm of smoking isn't "real" to them. Most of my similar-aged smoking friends have never even tried to quit, whereas I had tried multiple times. To them, it wasn't so much "oh no, she started smoking, oh yay she quit." It was more like "smoking was part of how I knew her," if that makes sense.

They also think it's weird that I sort of have a lab going on on my kitchen counter. The .... jokes are endless.

I got caught saying Lollerskates once!

But no, i have been using Willriker as a screen name since i started playing Starcraft. Wow, thats like 12 years ago. I use to speak with others on vent using the screen name, so i kind of answer to both my real name and this one in conversation. LOL i guess thats weird enough.

But as for the ecig side of things, i have been caught using some of the lingo here and there. Analog, PV, Atty you know the ones.

I've caught myself using some of the ecig lingo outside the forum. Sometimes I get a funny look, sometimes they ask me what I mean. I never got into the habit of using Internet lingo anywhere but on the Internet, and I've never used the shortened text versions of words like you or you're. It actually sort of drives me nuts, but that's for another discussion.

I've used WomanOfHeart for a very long time (think back in the day when AOL was actually the #1 ISP.) I'm known as "Shoibhan" in Eve Online. All of the people I play with shorten it to "Sho" and I'll answer to it. The Internet monikers just add to my "multiple personalities" because in the real world I go by two different names in my family! My mom's side of the family calls me "Cricket", my dad's side calls me "Katja."

And there you have it...

WoH aka Shoibhan aka Cricket aka Katja

A friend of mine calls me "the vaping queen" because I have gotten soooo excited about vaping. He has a PV (a cheap one) and is trying to quit smoking but isnt having much success with it. He ordered an ego and it is on the way. I hope it helps him as much as mine has helped me! He laughs at my enthusiasm over this! I hope i can successfully convert him...because I'd love to say "I told ya so!" later on down the road :D

Very nice stuff! :) A good smile for this pre-Friday! LOLLERSKATES?!?!?! I am SO going to use that one on the kids!!

I liked that one too, "If I was breathing, I was smoking". Nice writing. I think I could say that's how I am with all things bad :p (way back when).

Good stuff people! Good STUFF!! Now off to my ROFLcopter!

I don't use 'analog'. I saw someone post somewhere that until they call ecigs 'digitals' they wouldn't call cigarettes 'analogs' and it stuck. I could never get used to saying analogs anyway.

I go by two different names in my family! My mom's side of the family calls me "Cricket", my dad's side calls me "Katja."

I just did a speech at my daughter's wedding called the 'evolution of Christine'. She was born 'Denita Christine'. She changed it to 'Chris' in 7th grade; her little brother and sister call her Nina; and in graduate school she changed to 'Christine'. This week-end she changed her first name to Christine (legally) and also changed her last name when she got married! It has been quite a process keeping up with that. lol.
