Been analog free for a week now, somethings that im experiencing.

I get a burnt taste and feeling in my mouth. Well, not actually burnt, but when im vaping, Im getting a nasty burnt taste in my mouth.

Thought it was the liquid so changed it up, same thing regardless of what im vaping.

Secondly, I direct drip mostly. I notice that with 2 drips on my 510, the first 2 or 3 drags have great throat hit and vapor. Taper off fast after that.

Carts, I get zero throat hit consistantly. Tried the mods, nothing helps. Doesn't make a difference with the juice thats in them too. Tried a couple attys, same.

Suggestions?

I don't know if this is the answer, but I cannot stress enough how much things change taste, smell, throat hit, lung hit, method of vaping, flavors--almost on a daily basis. I've been vaping for a little over three weeks and just when I think something is really crappy--I suddenly love it. And when I think I love something--the next day I can't taste it at all or hate it. I truly believe that for the first several weeks of vaping--especially if you're no longer smoking, things change too much for anyone to be able to pin-point what the problem is or may be. IMHO...

Thats very true about everything changing. Smell and taste are coming back :)

But the burning taste / sensation is more of a feeling than a taste I suppose. Not like its the taste of the liquid.

Hard to describe honestly

Could it possibly be your nic juice is too high? Just a guess...

Do you have a spare atomiser if so change up and you'll be alright.
I just read a post about the poison from burnt carts.
The cart is no longer any good and the atty well I don't know but when it happened to me I put it away, maybe I'll boil it and see if it cleans up if not it goes in the trash.
Always have a spare atomiser or two just in case.
What are you using???

For what it's worth-

My first week off analogs and everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, tasted like my ..... Or someone's ..... Yuck! Week two was better. I'm in the middle of week three now and things are settling down. I'm able to find some satisfaction with my e-cigs.

I made the mistake of starting out with too low nic juice. Once I jumped up to where I needed to be I am finding much better taste, WAY better throat and lung hit, and feeling very satisfied.

I'm vaping some seriously intense juice as I type- Heavy shag/Cigar from Janty and I've got to tell ya- it is BETTER than the real thing. My 510 is chugging like a steamtrain, throat hit is outta this world, and the taste is better than real tobacco.

Maybe try a higher nic juice or at least shop around and try some of the higher quality juices out there.

Great non-tobacco flavored juice from Juicyliquids. They are awesome is you're into fruit/candy type flavors. The Janty is really good too. Don't give yup and go back to analogs- play around a little.

Good luck!

Can you be more specific. Which mods have you tried?

Just the coffee stir stick in the carts. Bout the only mod I know of for the 510 besides the prodigy kind of mods.

What I find works for scratching my nic itch is I direct drop 2 drops of 24mg juice and 1 drop of Wiltons Glycerin on the atty.

Kicks my ... for about 5 drags before easing up. But thats just too hard to do at work which is why im fighting with the carts.

.

Just miz up a small batch of this ahead of time using a 2:1 ratio of juice/vg.

Put it in a small squeeze bottle or in a needle oiler like this:

You can then fill up a few carts in advance and be reay to go.

You can get the needle oilers here: 3 pack Precision Oiler - Needle Tip Oiler Bottle 1/2 oz - eBay (item 350189096492 end time Aug-08-09 07:47:32 PDT)

Too funny! Your subject line, "Couple Issues", I thought you were a couple fighting over the E-Cig or something!

I was having Couple Issues when my wife was stealing my second battery and atty from my Titan, leaving me to get through the whole day on one (Thanks PCC).

After serious consultation we solved the problem.

I bought her a Yeti.:pervy:

Just a comment on the burning...I got that off and on too. Still do. Almost like I've eaten one too many sour candies and it's burned my tongue. I haven't gotten it today at all though and I'm thinking it might just be my body (tongue in this case) adjusting to something different. I've only been analog free for 10 days so I figure there will be a lot more changes of taste, feel and other stuff too :)

You're tasting dry atomizer.

You are probably power hitting this thing like I do.
And not leaving enough time between drags to let the juice wick up for the next one.

There is no doubt you are tasting dry atomizer.
When you smoke these things like a real cigarette, you'll have to find a way around it.

Top off more often if you are using cartridges.
I find I can smoke about two cigarettes worth at best on a new cartridge.
Then I have to top off before each additional "cigarette break" for the rest of the day.

And I have to frequently use the "windmill method" even so.

And when I'm dripping, I can take about four or five drags, then have to drip again.
I used to suck down a cigarette in about 8 drags, within about 8 minutes or less.

These things can't keep up with that without additional care and feeding.
