It's the middle of the night, o.k. morning, at work and I haven't posted for a while, so here's a little update a couple months into vaping after 35 years at a pack and a half of analogs a day.
I have never felt better! I looked in the mirror this afternoon before work and noticed a remarkable change in the color of my skin...I never realized how gray my skin had become! I hate to sound "girly" here, but I do look years younger!
I ride a bicycle everywhere after deciding in October to try and go car free. I used to have to walk my bike up several hills here...not any more! I can ride harder and longer than I could in my 30's, and I'll be 49 next week. Who'd have thought? O.K., when you consider I'm no longer inhaling all those poisins, any fairly intelligent person might have figured it out, lol. Still, it never ceases to amaze me.
One good and sometimes bad thing is that my sense of smell has returned, and I never knew it had left! I say bad because my comute to work has me bicycling over the L.A. river. The first couple days I noticed the smell, I thought something was going on because the river really stank more than I thought it ever did. It took a few days before I realized that it always stunk, I just couldn't smell it.
I had a heart attack a year abnd a half ago. I tried every way possible to quit! Chantrix, gum, losenges, patches, calling hot lines, joining on line quitters clubs, you name it. Nothing worked until I took to vaping! I owe my life to e cigs! I had, prior to switching, pretty much figured that I'd just keep puffing those nasty things until they killed me. Seriously, I thought it was a lost cause for me, but now! Man, I can breathe, I can now laugh without coughing, I don't caugh in the morning, my clothes and breath don't stink, and I can really taste food again! I always knew I dug Indian food but, man, I never knew how much!
I already have two friends off analogs and vaping, and I have several others on the fence at least!
