Hi Folks!

I have read somewhere that when batteries are new, that it is a good idea to charge for 8 hours the first time.Seems like they said that the batteries last longer.Any opinions?

The next question regards new cartridges. They seem to have a light film of some sort of oil on them? How should these be cleaned before they are used for the first time?

Nope, you don't need to let the batteries sit on the charger. That's a myth left over from the time of NiCad's. When the light goes green (or whatever it's supposed to do when it's done charging), it's ready.

I'm assuming the carts are pre-filled? If so, it's probably just a bit of juice that leaked. Wipe it off and stick it on. :)

Nope... just charge until the light goes green. Have a couple of Pina Coladas while you wait.

:D
