I have a lot of coworkers that seem very interested in vaping, especially since there are two of us at work. The other guy is a supervisor and was the first one so he helped the work folks accept vaping. Now I have people asking tons of questions and seeming really interested but what are some good ways of helping them make that first step or to convince them to give it a try at least? I know you can only lead a horse to water but can't force them to drink (only drown them till they give up..lol) but I just want some opinions here.

Most times they'll become interested after seeing my success- seems like you've already taken that step. Sometimes I'll loan them a Kgo because I have many starter kits on hand. Other times I'll give them a disposable- most are 24 mg- but everyone whom I've given a disposable to has successfully converted to vaping. They only issue I've had is finding the right flavor so I now start them on flavorless juice and once they're "hooked" (usually a day or two) I then introduce them to diff flavors. I also have access to 60 diff flavors so eventually they find something they like. Good luck to you as it's a good thing you're doing. After converting a group of people you could also form a co-op to lessen the expenses of the group with delivery systems and juice.
Cheers and the Very Best of Luck to You.

I let a couple of my co-workers try my setup. They found that is tasted GOOD and that they did not stink. I had a few extra drip tips and let them use those to try it. I have since converted three people at work to vaping. And the savings in $$$ is not a hard sell either. As you stated, you can lead a horse to water..... Just give it a shot and see if it works. It did for me.

I've converted ~10 people at work using the same method as posted by others. At first, there were a few skeptical lookers and a few non-believers. Once they found out that vaping tastes better and leaves no after-smell, it was pretty much over. I hooked one, he bought a few more flavors, and let the others try it. Then another tried our flavors and decided to jump on the band wagon. Rinse and repeat. We have a little army of vapors at work now with a small cache of juices. It's awesome :)

I believe it is important to tell people the whole truth:

It turns out it's not the nicotine we get hooked on, but is the MAOI's in tobacco alkaloids (the part of smoking a cigarette that gives us the, "Ahhh," and a sense of calm). And, that this is the reason nicotine replacement therapies often just "don't do it" for many. But, the Swedish figured out a long time ago that tobacco does not cause cancer, it's how you cure the tobacco, and they've come up with a different way to cure tobacco (using percolation instead of smoke) that let's you get the Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTA) without the Tobacco Specific Nitrosamines (TSNA's). Swedish SNUS, when produced using the percolation curing method (and a couple of companies in Sweden don't, but it's easy to find which ones don't use percolation) does not increase your chances of developing cancers of the mouth or pancreas. They just can't say it on television here, but that's kind of the whole truth.

Vaping e-juice allows us to get the look and feel of smoking, but it is different, it is lacking a certain ingredient, but is no less important to some as a way to replace smoking cigarettes...and that the power of the battery in combination with the appropriate resistance atomizer allow the vapor to be warm enough to more closely feel like smoking. Tiny batteries, the ones that look like a real cigarette just do not provide enough wattage to come close to real smoking, and will often turn people off from using an e-cig.

That's my spiel when someone asks.

You all have great success methods.
Me...I'm no good at selling ANYTHING.
So I got some free ECF business cards ($4 shipping) at the ECF Store. I give those out when people ask about my vaping. I tell folks that it is an educational forum & nobody is trying to sell them on a specific product. Just vaping education.
Of course I fail to mention the ProVari enthusiasts. Haha.
Vape on & keep converting the smokers. Good work y'all.

hand them mine and tell them to try it! I carry a seperate drip tip around specifically for others to try..

My wife is still on stinkies despite my efforts. People must come to their own decision regarding smoking. You can present an alternative, but pressure usually leads to resentment and reluctance. Enjoy your vape, answer questions, and go on down the road.

What can you do to convince? I don't feel I have to convince anyone of anything. I show and tell. Then, offer to loan, etc.

I haven't had one person grab me and say I WANT TO DO THIS!! (I was like that, wanted right away as soon as I saw it all) but not everyone is *ready*.

This is something they have to decide for themselves. Many are in the throws of addiction, their addiction is going to talk louder, I understand that.

I think you've been great just sharing, and answering questions, and showing that vaping is a great alternative to cancer sticks. Good work, keep it up!

Ive gone so far as to buy some family members and a coworker kits. One co worker vapes and smokes, the rest just werent willing to put in the time and effort to find juices and equipment that worked for them. So good luck and I hope you can help someone quit. I thought it would be great if I had a group we could test out equip and juices as thats the frustrating part.

Do you use attys, cartos, tanks? Most atomizers come with a cartridge flat tip either empty or with stuffing . I usually save these to let someone try it . I use my own drip tips as they better on the lips to me. Also the ends that come on cartomizers are referred to as condoms . You can pinch the ends and cut a small hole to line up with the hole in the cartomizer. Save them , put that on , let someone take a couple drags , discard.
