CR2's are safe if you pay attention to them... When used in series they should be checked and paired by their voltage ratings...

Don't overcharge them, don't try and get every last vape out of them, and discard them at even the slightest sign of issue...

CR2's have got a bad rap and it's mainly from user error.... They are safe to use IMHO if you treat them with respect....

Also, from what I can tell, it's the blue CR2's that have had issues... I don't recall seeing any issues with the green ones... (yet, as I am sure someone will use them improperly / irresponsibly)

IMO there is confusion regarding what batteries you need to get for different mods. Why can't the suppliers post what batteries you need for their mods.

After searching the forum for which batteries you need for certain mods why would any of them recommend CR2 when all they have for sale are unprotected.

Why is it no warning are posted on their site regarding their mod.

It seems almost all of the 6 volt mod use CR2 batteries. Since you can only get them unprotected several suppliers and people are suggesting not using these batteries. What else can be used for 6 volt vaping or should we not buy a 6 volt mod. This would defnitely hurt some of the suppliers.

Most of the 6v devices I've seen use CR123as. Such as the chuck, silver bullet, adaptever, etc.
