"I have a friend" who wants to try using the protected CR2 in "his" BB. Despite hearing all the warnings, "he" still wants to give it a try, but "he's" got some questions. If "he" gets the CR2s from madvapes will they charge in the trustfire TR001 charger, or would a different charger be needed? Also would standard 510 attys with a average resistance of 2.6 ohms work with them, or would "he" need HV attys. If so which one's would work( there's a lot of different ones around)

They are protected and they do disconnect at low voltage, over discharge, and in a short condition.

As to the charger, I'm not familiar with that one.
Don't know if the batteries would fit and I don't know if it's the right charge. The charger that sells with the battery is labeled SINCE on the front and says "CR2-3V". I assume the exact same charger comes with different branding/labeling. On the back it's labeled:
Model: SE-CR2
Input: 110-240V / 50-60Hz
Output: 2 x 3.7V - 300mA +/- 50mA
60mA at 1.5 hrs (standard Charge)
300mA at 2.4 hrs (Quick Charge)

If you just plug it into the wall empty and measure across the + and - in one of the bays it measures 4.02V.

A standard 510 at 2.6 ohms probably won't work. It might but probably not. That low of a resistance is likely to draw too much current and trip the protection circuit(s) in the batteries. It does on mine. I've found that 3.0 ohms and above work fine. About half of my 901s turn out to be 3.0 - 3.2 ohms. The other half run 2.7 - 2.9 ohms. The majority of my KR808D cartomizers run about 3.0 ohms. With all the above I think it depends on the batch, who made them, quality control, whatever. I haven't found any real consistency yet.

HV atomizers would definitely work. Those come in all "flavors" as well depending on where you get and what's offered by different vendors. I think the lowest resistance HV atomizers start at 3.5 ohms.

Someone else earlier in the thread (Cuffs?) is using the 15270 batteries (also from MadVapes) and is not experiencing the problem I am with the protection circuit cutting off with lower resistance atomizers. I suspect that different versions of the battery had different versions of the protection circuit.

Not related, but I'm happy to say that all 8 of my second batch of Tenergy protected 3v CR123a batteries are working great in my Silver Bullet. The first 4 I got were all defective and I RMA'd them.

Tenergy Batts are very good in my opinion, I have been using them for about 6 months or since they first came out, as far as that charger it will charge the Cr Batts but you will need those small magnetic spacers to make it work for the charge, also the only problem with those small Cr's is they don't last to long at all and it's just a poor set up you better buy about 8 of them at least if you want to run all day on that set up, I used them when I got my first GGT Mod for a short time, they just suck, step up and buy the Silver Bullet and the Tenergy Batts like Quick1 says, I have 2 of the SB's set up with the Tenergy 900mAh batts and it kicks some serious .... Also you will need the HV Atty's, personally I like em @ 4.2 ohm @ 6v for taste and vapor production, and finally I think buying some quality LR Atty's for you BB and ruining a IMR 14500 would be your best bet in the BB, I say IMR because you have to remember the LR Atty's draw more like 2amps compared to 1amp on a regular Atty so your Batts would be over stressed unless your using an IMR Batt and they will drain quicker and more unsafely, but the LR's kick some ... on the BB you will like those on the BB better in my opinion, just my $0.02

My CR2s usually last me 3 to 4 hours in my BB. I like the BB size for pocket carry. It will just fit in a shirt pocket and isn't too heavy to where it makes your shirt droop. Fits very discretely in a pants pocket and again without any real noticeable weight. Also fits the hand nicely for use at work to where it doesn't look like you're holding a small bat. I got the Silver Bullet for the golf course, driving, around the house and carry it in a belt clip flashlight case.

Everybody should have 1 of each :)

I just got my BB a couple days ago and a couple sets of CR2s from Madvapes. They are the 15266 models listed at 1000mah (yeah, right). They last a good 3 hrs of heavy vaping, at least so far. I used that same Trustfire charger, but have since changed to a Maha Universal charger I trust a bit more.
They don't work with a SLB, H20 or Joye 510 Atty. But the 510 and KRD808(?) cartos work fine. The 510 carto is particularly good but depending on what juice you use, they can be unpleasantly harsh and 6V seems to overpower the taste. I have some 4.5 ohm HV attys coming soon. That should be more like 5V and I'm hoping that solves the taste issues. As it is, dripping with a 3.7V battery and a LR atty works good too, but I love these cartos, so I'm sticking to the 3.7V for a while. Too bad they don't make a HV 510 carto, or a 2.5V CR2 sized battery.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the BB though. I'm glad I didn't get the SB, but maybe I will in the future. I actually ordered a silver BB but changed my mind after it was shipped and wished I had ordered a black one. I was happy to find that Altsmoke either made a mistake or read my mind cuz they sent me a black one! Now,all I need is a power supply for the PT that came with it and I'll be vapin in high cotton.

Altsmoke! I thought I read a while back you were going to carry 2A USB power supplies. What happened?
