Crackling Sound - VISION Replaceable Stardust Cartomizer

I hope I’m putting this in the correct forum, if not let me know:

I got my first "real" Vision Cartomizer a few days ago. I've used this type of cartomizer before since the shop by my house sells knock off’s (ones without the “V” Vision logo on them). The knock off’s didn’t make any noise at all. But this Vision Replaceable 2.4ohm long wick cartomizer makes a weird crackling\popping sound when vaping. I’m using a 50/50 eliquid mix, and the carto seems to function just fine except for the sound it makes.

I know it’s a real Vision product because I ordered it from GotVapes.Com. Is this normal? Any idea what’s going on?

Cracking sound is normal when the atomizer is getting a nice amount of power from the battery source.

Aww, okay. Wasn't to sure, the other 2-3 I've had (non vision) never did that. It does seem to hit nicer the louder it is.

Indeed...that crackling and popping is the sound of joy as well as tasty vapor! I had some Smokteck dual coil 1.5s that you could hear across the room! Not ideal for stealth vaping!

The visions are 2.4, which I think is the same as the generic ones I had before. Could be wrong on that though. I got the rebuildable ones and picked up a bunch of atimizers replacments for it as well. Mostly stayed with the 2.4 ones, but also got some 1.8 ones. Intrested to see how they work, I got a feeling they will be even louder.

So what's the gurgle mean? It needs to be cleaned out or something?

Gurgle = flooded >>> Juice in the mouth. Needs to be cleaned or blown out since juice is probably in the center tube. If it's just not working as well as when you first got it, may as well chuck it and fill a new carto. If it tastes burnt, definitely chuck it.

Crackle is like heaven singing to me.

Okay, I gott'cha. After washing it out with warm water and doing a quick dry burn (just until the coil glows), it always sounds louder and seems to work better.

I used to get the burnt taste way more before when I was using 100 percent VG liquid. I guess it was to thick to keep the wicks wet. Now with a 50/50 mix I don't get the burnt taste anymore. I hated that burnt taste... it was like smoking a car tire.
