Hi,

I've been vaping a few months and am still learning. I know that crackling sounds while vaping are common, but I was curious about that because the crackling sounds I get are much more prominent when I'm vaping on Virging Vapor's ejuice than any other ejuice I've tried. I wondered why that would be? Does anyone know? And I don't mean gurgling or slurping noises, like with flooding, I mean crackling/sizzling noises, like cooking a piece of bacon. And like I said, it happens mostly with Virgin Vapor. It doesn't bother me necessarily, I just don't get why it does that specifically with Virgin Vapor. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I'm vaping mostly on an aerotank mini 1.5 dual coil and an evic.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome... I'm still new here too. I just received my first order from Virgin Vapor today. Organic Peach Perfect, 50/50. I haven't noticed any crackling sounds as of yet. What flavor of juice are you vaping? I doubt that makes a difference, I was just curious. When I have had those sounds in the past I've always replaced the coil and that fixed the problem.

Anything using kanger's dual coils crackle and pop quite a bit I've noticed. As for the sizzling sound. Honestly that's how I can tell my coil is still working great, when the sharp sizzle sound gets replaced with a lower almost gurgling sound then I know there's some excess juice or condensation around it. I've noticed any coil I've used sizzles but only the kanger duals pop and crackle. The aspire dual coils never do anything but sizzle softly. They'll stop working and flood half the time though. lol
Honeslty I'm paranoid about the sounds they make and what you can tell from those sounds.

I would guess heavy PG could result in more "crackle" considering that lower viscosity oils heat faster than higher. That's only a guess, of course.

No, most time it is VG that crackles more than PG does due to the difference in boiling point on both and viscosity, because the VG wicks slower being thicker it has a tendency to crackle more often. Virgin Vapors is also more of an organic liquid, they try to use mostly VG and natural flavorings, to dilute and thin down they could be using distilled water to thin the VG out and that can lead to more crackling like putting water onto hot oil it pops and sizzles like mad.

OT to OP
Best suggestion is to increase your airflow, more air cools the coils and liquid down better, that is if you have an airflow regulator on your tank.
