Crackling

Hi. I'm new to vaping-just got my VK on Saturday. I was wondering if the battery is supposed to make a crackling sound when I'm inhaling. It only does that on the longer draws. Thanks.

Are you sure it's the batt?. Should be the cartomizer that makes the noise.

The sound you hear isn't coming from the battery, it's the sound some carts make when you draw or press the manual button. If you can hear a crackling that is usually a sign that you've got one of the good KR808 carts. It's the one's that don't crackle that ya need to look out for.

What if you've got an automatic (DSE801) that's crackling? It's only done that once and there was a burnt smell - I was thinking maybe one of the cart fibres fell into the bridge?? Sort of disturbing - I thought I'd burnt the atty out, but it seems to be ok now.

really that happenned to me last nite when i opened up a cowboy cart. its started cracklin. so what do you do just let it make noise? I wasnt getting a super amount of vapor out of it anyway but some vapor came out.

I agree with cran, min; when you hear a good crackle you know it creating some vapor. You'll really notice it on a PT.

Sometimes a brand new carto takes around five or so good hits to start with great vapor.

Agreed - I was listening to the sweet sound all day today (I finally got around to bringing my PT to the office).

This thread just made me realize that my refills don't do the sizzle thing. Must be a denser PG or something; they also last about 20% longer. (Non-V4L liquid.)
