Hi all,

New carts snap, crackle, and pop. My refills don't snap, crackle, and pop. Are the premium juices the same juices they use to fill the carts in China? Do the Chinese workers fill the carts pretty much the same way that we do here? If so then why the absence of the snap, crackle, pop phenomenon? Who should be able to reproduce it, all things being equal. I love the SCP and want to reproduce it. Maybe there's a missing ingredient? Does anyone have any answers pertaining to this?

Thank you,

-Laz.

IME, the refilled cartos that I've achieved the SCP with are those that I didn't overfill. Seems as if you put too much in and the SCP goes poof ... and not in a Chuck-kinda-way, for you Chuckleheads.

It has been my experience that a carto slowly degrades over time. Each refill seems to be a little less efficient than the previous one. If I had to guess....the wire gets a coating of dried juice or corrosion that starts to reduce its ability to generate heat quickly....thus we lose the popping and get less vapor. As a result, I don't re-use them as often as I once did with washing and drying. Now I tend to just refill a new carto for a few days....and throw it away. Not quite as thrifty as washing and re-using a dozen times....but still a money-saver over not refilling at all.

Good hypothesis Kimmy.

I don't think the carts should be considered as disposable in the normal sense. We can use them over and over, sometimes as much as twenty times, without having to throw them away. When I think of something as being disposable I think I'm getting one use, maybe two, and then I'm throwing it away. The carts are most likely called disposable because there isn't any way to accurately predict how long or how short their lifespan might be. In other words they can't be guaranteed to work X amount of times so they have to be called disposable. One carto might last for four months while another might only last for two or three days. I digressed bigtime, didn't I? :)

I'm just hoping I can learn how to reproduce that elusive snap, crackle, and pop I enjoy so much and experience with fresh carts, usually premium carts. I forget whether or not the normal, pre-filled carts SC&P?

P.S., Maxx,

I haven't even tried boiling them yet but I plan to today. I think you're right though, there is a limit.

This seems to be spot on to me. I refill my cartos as well, just not as many times as I used to. In fact, when they lose that 'snap, crackle and pop'--it's usually a sign (for me) to ditch it and break out a fresh one.

I got into vaping to save money...and it was sort of a game to see how cheaply I could do it with washing cartos and buying 30ml bottles. I got down to less than a dollar a day, but I was starting to lose some enjoyment. Deciding that I was already way ahead of the usual $12 a day for cigs....I came up a little and started buying cartos more often and washing less. Love that pop of fresh premo carto on the XL.... ;)

:D Ha! yeah- I agree...when I refill I tend to stuff as much juice in there that I can get....and it looses th SCp....but if I only refill about 8-10 good drops it stays....my guess is the juice settles during shipping in the prefilled ones...maybe enough spins would help?

Ill have to test this theory later...:D After I empty this overfilled cart lol.
Next new cart Ill add a few n test n keep adding til it goes away to get a good idea if it matters or if its just the newness of the carto atty that makes it pop.

I HAVE noticed tho with thicker juices even new empties dont SCP...
