Amateur move, I know. I broke a dang drill bit off in my AGA-T2 air hole trying to drill it out. Does anyone know if I can buy just the cap piece, or do I need to drop the coin for a whole new unit? I dont really have the snaps for that at the moment. Im going to see if the guys at work can drill it out on their press (I was using a hand drill....) before I pursue other options. Be careful people!

The guys in our machine shop fixed it in a jiffy. However they only had 1mm and 1.5mm bits. I went with the 1.5mm hole, and it is wayyyyy too airy.
Time to shrink it back to my original desired size of 1.18mm (#56). I'm going to either plug the hole with epoxy and drill it out, or glue a piece of aluminum can flush to the inside and drill that. Anyone had to do this? Any preference?

I'm surprised people want the hole bigger. The air hole is a bit too big on this atty for my taste! I like to feel just a little more resistance in the draw...

There are two revisions of the AGA-T+/2, although most sites don't designate which they're selling. The earlier models had the smaller airhole.

Same here. My original hole was far better. Drilled mine out to 1/16 as others have suggested, and it is WAY too airy/loose. Mine was much better before, but then again I didn't have the other type with the super tight draw. I imagine those with the super small hole probably did notice a big difference when drilling out to 1/16, but actually those with the larger original hole were already at the perfect size.

I'm beginning to realize you kind of have to take what others say with a grain of salt when it comes to mods. I've found a lot of the stuff people claim makes a "huge difference" actually makes an already properly working setup worse. Unfortunately the upgrade bug has bit me several times, and when someone claims I can get even more performance, I'm down to try it. When it comes to the AGA-T+, I think I'm just going to get another one and start over as this isn't the only mod I've done...u-wick, dual coil, dual wick, cotton wick, all were a bust compared to a properly setup single wick 0.9 ohm 28 gauge coil. Which I can still achieve, but now I have a second air hole for a second coil that I've got covered with a piece of aluminum can, and a wick hole I'm not using that's plugged with a piece of stainless steel mesh. Add the airy draw into the mix with the original hole drilled out, and it just gets frustrating having turned a fairly nice device into a "frankenstein monster" when something doesn't work out.

After vaping all afternoon and evening with the 1.5mm hole, I am beginning to like it. Initially, it just seemed like a bad thing because it was different than the smaller hole. The vape is a bit cooler, which doesn't bother me, and the juice tastes more flavorful. I think the extra airflow over the wick/coil is cooling the coil better (32awg kanthal with a 5/6 wrap), and the juice isn't getting as hot. Vapor production has also improved. I had to alter my draw a bit to match the additional airflow though. I may end up leaving this as is....
