Many of the VZ SC Gourmet line contains DIACETYL! The Creme Brulee flavoring does contain diacetyl.

Direct link to Baker Flavors 2010 data on their Russian site (via Google Translate) Flavors containing diacetyl

I emailed Baker Flavors for an updated list, and this is the response:
To update whole list of our flavors for diacetyl content we need to check all recipes of flavorings and it will take some time.
But we can give you an idea how to know what kind of flavoring can contain diacetyl.
Usually, diacetyl can be contained in milk-cream flavors, such as: "cream-liquor", "tiramisu", "cakes", "biscuit", "Irish cream" and so on.
Significant amount of diacetyl is containted in the next flavorings: "Milk", "Cheese", "Cheese Cake", "Butter" and so on.

It is our opinion:

...it is unethical for a vendor to KNOWINGLY sell flavors that contain diacetyl for vaping without disclosing it to buyers.
...it is unethical for any ECF poster that knows this line of flavoring contains diacetyl, to recommend it to fellow vapers without disclosing it. (I'm not pointing fingers, as even if a poster was active in threads where this information was clearly presented, I don't know if it was read/noticed).
...We don't have ANY right to dictate what anyone vapes or what vendors they support. But we all have the responsibility (as part of the vaping community) to share the truth about products containing chemicals that are already known to be a health risk. If we don't, we're no better than than the tobacco industry, eh?
...since we know the source of VZ's SC Gourmet line (and can verify that VZ doesn't disclose the diacetyl content); but we don't know the source of the VZ SC line - we can assume it's possible that the VZ SC line also contains diacetyl, undisclosed.
...if we're not willing to police ourselves, there are government agencies that are more than willing to police us. If we're not part of the solution, we are part of the problem.
...it's not any more 'okay' that it's "only a tiny percentage" in a vaping flavor, than it's 'okay' that the chemicals in cigarettes are "only a tiny percentage".

Fwiw, we have VZ SC Gourmet Creme Brulee. For us, it's too weak at 1.3% and too strong at 2.6%. We mixed those two bottles/percentages together, and it still seems a bit too weak. It is good, but not stellar because we both sense a 'chemical taste' (that also makes my mouth/tongue tingle oddly). I can definitely detect the diacetyl. We won't be using it as a stand-alone (but might add it to a 'creamy blend' that we don't intend to vape often).

Yes, we do give a d*mn.
No, we are not 'politically correct'.
Yes, we are going to continue posting this information any time we see someone recommending VZ's SC Gourmet flavors if/when they don't also know/warn of the diacetyl issue...and we hope y'all will do the same!

Quit teasing and share the recipe!

He did share it. I had half the ingrediance and will have the rest by Sat or Monday. Can't wait to try it.
Does not see that the Creme Brulee flavoring by itself is enough depending on your taste.

Have a fun holiday season all!
