Thanks Bo,I thought you would like it.

Fabsta, Input voltage for my chargers has to be limited to 120v ac.
The switch is the same one that i use on the 747, Supplier claims 5a @ 150v. I had one brake one time but have never burnt one. I just happen to have a voltage adaptor that would work for you,I have no use for it.
Thanks for the thumbs up on the site .
The DC's will be here soon.

JJ, yes the 747N has two sets of threads. If you look at the picture of the 510N , you can see what it looks like,it's the same switch section.

Thank you Tony. Sorry to be so nitpicky. But I've overlooked some details on previous purchases and then regretted it later. The 747N is looking like a winner.

It has threads for a cone, check. It has a 5 amp switch, check. It uses 18650's, check. According to borockster, it kicks azz with the Resurrector, which is currently my favorite carto, check.

I already have some AW IMR 18650's. As we recently learned, not all 18650's are quite the same. Will my AW IMR's fit properly in the 747N?

Got my 510-N yesterday. Interesting device, fit's my 3 ml tank perfectly. The 510 connection does sit about 5 mm lower than flush with the top cap, however by punching the holes in the boge carto a little higher it fit. So far so good, though the 5 click on/off feature seems to be hit or miss on it.

Here's a photo with the tank/carto.

Here it is in the center of the line-up, ECHO 1300 auto on the left, and a Silver Bullet with a 5 ml tank setup on the right. Gives an idea of the size comparison for those wondering.

Also, a regular Double A (AA) Maglite flashlight holser holds the 510 perfectly.

JJ, So far every 18650 i have tried fits the 747N. The 510N is a little smaller in diameter so not all 18650's will fit it. I have ordered some ultafire br 18750's , they seem to fit the best and last the longest. As far as the 747 and 747N , if you find a 18650 that will not fit , I will stand in my front yard and you can drop it out the window as you fly over and hit me in the head. Yes your AW's will fit.
Bo has the 747 with mechanical switch not the N model.
Am i starting to confuse you again?

I must be dense today because I don't get it. The adapter you sent me looks like a 510 to 901. I have echo e cartos and without a long 510 to 510 (or two shortys) no way that's working LOL. No biggie.

Assuming the 510 connection is flush on the end of the 747, you should be able to use one of these adapters for the ECHO-E carto. Works for ego cones, mega attys as well.

Not sure if the 747 has a 510 connection or a 901. I've use the adapter for the Silver Bullet and Echo-e carts, works great.

eGo-510 connector - Use eGo Mega atty and tank on your mod!

Once again, great photos VaporTrails! That 510-N really looks good! Looks like it's got a metal switch which leads me to believe it's the 2nd revision. Did they put vent holes in this version? I wonder if the 4.8v 18650 batts would fit. I read that they are actually 17mm diameter which should fit. BUT would the switch handle that?

What to do, what to do???

edit: Maybe I won't even like 4.8v. I like a 1.5 ohm on an joye ego batt. Is 2.5-3 ohm at around 4.8v better? Any input or advice would be much appreciated

Had the 510N but had to sell it. Couldn't run LR or dual coils with the supplied batts. Could only run regular cartos and attys. Then the vapor production was just ok, about the same as a 808.

I bought this and then the vendor (not this site) tells me that I have to buy better batts if I want to use LR or dual coils. Oh well....

Uh, yes. Bo said he was vaping a Resurrector, which uses a 510 thread.

Yep. My 747 has a purely mechanical switch according to Fogdaddy. No pesky electronics for me to fry. When I ordered this 747 he was gracious enough to build it with a 510 connection for me also. Hows that for awesome customer service?!?

Thanks Fabsta, glad you like the pics. On this one there is a vent hole at the bottom of the battery compartment. I'm not sure about the 4.8V batts, I can tell you that my Trustfire 2400 mah 18650's don't fit, they are just a tad too wide. That batteries that MR. T supplied do run a Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizer fine. I did find something interesting out last night, I ran the atomizer included with the kit which worked fine. Out of curiousity I tossed the stock Joye standard resistance atomizer on it and it wouldn't fire. I have a 510 extension I then installed with the joye atomizer and it fired up. Seems like it there might have been too much clearance for the battery connection on the 510-N and the Joye atomizer.

I have a shorty V2 510 extension on the way to bring the connection near flush on the end of the 510-N. If you remove the top cap this isn't needed, however the unit looks better with it IMO.

Another thing, I grabbed my multi-meter and compared output voltages between the 510-N and the Silver Bullet. Used the same battery on both for this comparison. The 510-N read about 3.5 volts, the Silver Bullet 4.1. Interesting indeed, seems there might be some type of voltage regulation circuit built within the 510-n switch.

All in all it's a good device to far, just need's a little tweaking to get it to where I want it. I bought the 510-N with the mindset of when I'm out in the back country on a climb, hike, or mountain bike run I would have a lot of battery capacity in a more compact unit than the Silver Bullet.

Another pic for fun.

I don't know about the 510N but my mechanical 747 handles the green 4.8v NIMH batts like a champ. It's a beautiful thing baby!! One fully charged 4.8V NIMH ran for 6 hours today. That's awesome performance from a 600mah batt. The 18650 I put in yesterday ran for over 12 hours and was still kicking...Gotta love this thing Fogdaddy!
