Crown 3 glass replacement

I broke the glass tank on the tank. A small key comes with the tank to screw the top off to replace it. For the life of me I couldn't unscrew it. It has a lock and unlock direction. Long story short I ordered a new tank and it also won't unscrew. I found a bubble glass to replace the stock tank glass. Has anyone had the same problem with there crown3 tank? I even put pliers on the key to turn it but it won't budge.

I don't have that tank but the threading is backwards so turn it in clockwise to loosen. Here's a vid on it I found. Hope this helps.

Char,thanks for your reply. I finally put on so rubber gloves for better traction and with the pliers got it off. I bent the key but got it back together. It was super tight. Thanks again.
