Please help me understand how to properly wick this thing before I throw it in the garbage. I just got a Black edition Crown yesterday and It's been nothing but trouble.
The first time I wicked it by bunny-earring the cotton, putting the chamber base down and then pushing the cotton down over the juice holes so that the side of the wick shows through. This got me non-stop dry hits.
The next time, I cut the wick shorter and wet it before re-seating the chamber base. It mushed nicely against the wall of the chamber and I could see the side of the wick through the juice holes. This seemed to work fine, but I started getting intermittent dry hits.
I saw someone using what they called an "S" wick, and I'll probably try that next, but it just looks like a horizontal version of the first method I listed.
Another Youtuber says you should cut the wick so short that the ends are visible in the holes. Won't this cause flooding? I use a high PG juice, btw. Also, I'm using Ti in TC mode. I have only been doing TC for a few weeks, but I have been using my Lemo Drop at .29 Ohms and 80J with zero issues.
So I would like to hear about your wicking methods because I want to like this tank, it's well made and has features I like.
Also, it has leaked profusely both times I have filled it (even though I closed off the AFC)...any advice? At least you have the option for bottom filling.
