Well, I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving! For once in my life, I left town, but OMG, what a trip!!

I spent over 6 hours in a vehicle traveling with my daughter, who would NOT allow me to vape in her car!! Yes, she DOES have that right. It IS her car! My only saving grace was to vape outside of the vehicle when we stopped for fuel. Six hours there and almost seven hours back home!!! Am I a tad insane right now! Between having to step outside to vape when I did, and not being able to vape when I drove, I feel like I could smoke a whole pack right now!!

I guess if I travel with her again, I'll have to make sure I have nicotine gum on hand!!

Your daughter sounds like my friend. We went together to do Xmas shopping and he drove. He won't let me vape in his car and I was going crazy.

I have been wondering how common it is for businesses to not allow vaping. Here I've only seen one place with a posted sign on the door (ironically they sold ego starter kits) and one place I went into has a sign just inside the doors that says "NO" in big red letters followed by a list of stuff and the newest addition said "* electronic cigarette use (e-cig vaping)"

Otherwise I have vaped almost every place I've been without issues.

My work said not to do it inside job sights; my supervisor said just don't do it within camera view.

a few months ago I had an extended hospital visit ( not my choice) and vaping was not something they prefered I do while there... so I pulled out my bottle of juice, put a drop on my finger and licked it up ( a small drop) and it worked just as good as vaping to settle out the urge..... if you get hiccups, do a smaller drop of juice :)

I've never smoked (back when I did) in front of my daughter (she's 14 now) and still don't vape in front of her.(1.5yrs now).
Wife is an ex-smoker, stopped when pregnant and went back to it after daughter was born only to quit cold turkey a year later.
She does not want me to vape in the house, knows I vape, and do in the garage sometimes....but not thrilled about it.

Sitting in a tree stand deer hunting with my daughter for 3-4 hours was tough....but I got through it ;)

We all have to do things time to time that may be tough. LOL....now where's my box ? :vapor:

I say, shame on your daughter for treating her mom like she did. One might think that she just *COULD* be a little bit more understanding of her mom's plight, quitting cigarettes and turning to vapor. (Cigarette smoking in the car is one thing, but vapor is quite another. Maybe get a little brain power going and think things through. It's a bit self-centered and cold-hearted where mom is concerned, if you ask me.)

Remember the wise mom sage who once said: Your mom brought you into this world. She could just as easily take you OUT of it.

Yeah, I have the same issue with my dad's girlfriend. They moved in together and last year I was able to vape in their new house but this Thanksgiving I was told she doesn't think it is as safe as I do and not to smoke in her house and told me I shouldn't in mine. She's a surgical nurse and was giving me heck for vaping. Even my new doc said god only knows what that is doing to your body you could grow horns, and your just trading one addiction for another. I have only been vaping again for a little over a month now and I don't understand it. My breathing is better. I feel better. I think vaping is a god sent, and I am proud that I quit smoking after 17 years.

I can't vape?

I'll drive, thanks anyway...meet you there.

Yeah well, if I had to make that trip alone, it wasn't happening anyway. I drove three hours form work to home, transferred luggage to her car, and then she drove two hours, and I drove the other four hours to our destination. The only reason I made the trip was because she insisted I not be alone on Thanksgiving.

You would think, huh, considering she and her brother ragged on me all through their childhood about my smoking. I just couldn't convince her that it wouldn't smell up her car.
