Hate to make my first post a negative one, but I'm so frustrated at this point that I need to vent a little bit and hopefully save someone else the frustration of dealing with these two companies.

I'm newly "serious" to the e-cig thing, after having tried a few a couple of years ago and finding them basically useless. On the way to visit family for Christmas we stopped at a truck stop and they had the Mistic e-cigs on display pretty darn cheap, so on a whim I grabbed one. Initially a was just thinking it might be a good way to get my nic fix while visiting family who don't allow smoking inside and avoiding having to go stand out in the cold. What I ended up thinking, much to my surprise, was that this might actually be good enough to get me off the cigs for real. Given that I've been a 2-pack a day Marlboro Red smoker for somewhere around 27 years, that's not too bad for a little cheapy gas station e-cig.

But the cartos for them are ridiculously expensive, so I got online and found out how to refill them. Picked up a bottle of juice from the Tececig kiosk at the mall. 10ml for 10 bucks. Not as ridiculous a lot of mall vendors I've heard about, but by that point I'd already looked around online and knew it was still high. But, they have the advantage of being local, so I could get it right away. What the heck, right? Found that the cartos refill easily, and all seemed well. Not totally off the analogs yet, but one pack has lasted me 6 days. Pretty darn good for a 2 pack a day guy.

Now, on to my frustration...

On Wednesday, I decided I'd better get some more juice on the way. Being a sucker for free shipping, I ordered 3 30ml bottles from LeCig, and based on a good review of it I spotted somewhere here on the forum I also ordered a little 10ml bottle of Black & Mild from Crystal Clear.

Here I sit 48 hours later and I just now received a phone call for age verification from LeCig, and just received an email reply from Crystal Clear crying about being busy from Christmas orders. Given the mailing times from where these two companies are located, I was half expecting at least one order or the other to show up in the mail today, tomorrow at the latest. Instead, neither order has even been packed, much less mailed.

Now, I know that most vendors in this industry are little mom n' pop outfits, and a sudden flood of orders could take a little time to catch up with, but come on...

How hard would it be to let customers know? All they'd have to do is put a little note on the website that they're overwhelmed with holiday orders and are experiencing delays in shipping.

Had these two companies done that, I would have probably still placed my orders with them anyway, and would be a happy customer.

In the electronic world we live in, it's a well established expectation that online orders get shipped either same day, or on the next business day. If you're a small outfit that can't meet that expectation, that's fine, but you have to let your customers know.

Yep, I saw that. Kind of kicking myself for not checking the vendor reviews before ordering. But the whole reason I knew of their site and had it open was looking them up after reading a glowing review, so I figured they were safe. I should know better.

They actually blamed the delay on business being "too good". Can't imagine that will be the case for very long if this is their standard level of customer communication when there are problems.

Went ahead and cancelled my order. That should lighten their load and help them catch up a little faster....

Yeah I think lottsa vendors had a bonanza year and many are burnt out. Black Friday and then Christmas with many being out of stock with many items. CCV is a one man operation so that explains a lot BUT his carto prices are amazing.

Christmas is a rough time for small vendors as you note.

Oh, definitely. I've done some consulting work for a few small businesses who sold online, so I've seen it first hand. It's actually surprising how many online vendors have websites that give the impression of a large, Amazon sized company, when it's really just one guy running around his basement packing boxes and running them to the post office in his pickup every day.

My complaint isn't the fact that there were delays, but the fact that neither company makes an effort to let their customers know there will be a delay when it would be such a simple thing to do.

IMHO it just shows a complete lack of regard for the customer.

Sure are. And the "Resurrector" cartos get rave reviews. Was planning to get some in my next order from them, but since that order won't be happening I'm now trying to figure out what they actually are so I can get them from another vendor. At first glance I'm thinking they might be the same as the Smok Tech 1.7 XL cartos that Hoosier sells.

Vapoor,

Don't let the delay discourage you. What is good to remember is that smaller vendors usually have better customer service when you have an issue with the product you receive. I know some of the bigger vendors do too, but you're more likely to end up talking to the person that is actually putting your order together at little companies. I have experienced this several times myself, and it is usually just resolved with a little patience.

I know how hard it is, esp. when you have nicotine cravings, lol. My husband pesters me to buy him a pack of analogs if he is without juice for more than a day - like we are right now!

Hang in there.

Yes the the Resurrectors are rebranded SmokTech 1.7 XL cartos. I use the Mega DC SmokTech 1.5 and they're awesome BUT batt life is compromised. I use 18650 X 2400 mah so I'm ok with that.

No I always order in bilk and have 60? cartos on hand and 2 liters flavorless 100 mg juice. If you're in a bind you could try Pay It Forward - PIF
Thank you for the kind words and Happy New Year.

All the more reason that companies in this industry need to make their cusomers aware when they're running a little slow!

After all, they're selling to addicts who need a fix here. LOL....

Just for future reference to the op, it's smart to find your closest juice vendor just in case you run out or something in the future to hold you up until you get preferred juice delivered. Same goes for hardware.

Yeah, that's definitely in the plans. Unfortunately, my employer of 14 years went out of business a little while back, so I'm drawing unemployment for the time being, and purchases have to be done slowly...

But, the plan is to build up a good stock of juice and spare hardware on hand, just as you said. In a pinch, I can get juice at the mall. It's overpriced, but not horribly so. Heck, in a real pinch I can always run to the truck stop and pick up another Mistic. For a throwaway e-cig it actually does a halfway decent job.

Planning to order a KGO from Hoosier, so that would be 2 complete units right there. That should be enough of a safety buffer that I can order spare parts when something fails. (Crap, just noticed it's 5 o'clock. I'm sure it's now too late for anything to get shipped out today.... Guess I can take my time figuring out my order now. Had been hoping and planning to get that on the way today, though. Oh well....).

I was also laid off awhile ago so I understand. Have you ever thought of DIY juice? It's really quite easy.

Here's a locator- maybe you can find someone close to you

VaporSearchUSA

Now this is too funny! Closest vendor to me is? Crystal Clear Vaping. LMFAO!

Which is still way outside of driving distance. I'm afraid that buying local for me will mean either going with gas station disposables or paying mall kiosk prices.
