hi, I've been away for a while. I'm still dripping 650 egos ;) although I did recently get a vaporesso xros2, which I like. but I've decided it's time to hoard again. I see that paypal has decided to dictate what I can buy so I am worried about handing out my cc number. I am thinking about a visa gift card, but what if I don't receive the order? anyway, looking for advice on stores that are trustworthy. usa or china. thanks!

Some chinese retailers take paypal, but they are stealthy about it. You have to select a certain payment method at checkout then email them and they will email you the paypal address you need to send the payment to.

Fasttech is different because they sell a bunch of non-vape stuff so they didn't get their paypal account shut down. So what you have to do if your order contains vape gear is buy a gift card first, then use that to pay for your vape gear. But Fasttech can take a long time to actually ship your order, depending on what you buy so keep that in mind. They are also giving 3% when you buy a gift card so if you buy a $20 card, they give you $20.60. So if your order total is, say, $50, just buy a gift card for $48.54. With the 3% they add, that gives you a $50 gift card, so you won't have any left over.

On the other hand, if you don't HAVE TO use a credit card and can use your bank account, you can use privacy.com to mask your bank account (or debit card) to a functional, system-generated credit card # and use that for your online purchases. But they do not allow the masking of credit cards, only bank accounts and debit cards, so that may be a downside for you. Nice thing is that you can set parameters like how long that generated # is good for, how much it's good for, etc. I've used it a couple times now, once for a chinese retailer, and it worked well. However, there might be a surcharge for international transactions depending on the retailer's processor and your bank. I've noticed that they also now give you the ability to dispute a transaction so that's nice, but I have no idea how well that works.

I have a low limit ($500) Bass Pro Shop Mastercard I use online. It's good for out of the country purchase also, my normal bank has a block on this and requires a phone call for approval. Just remember to refuse credit increases keep balance paid down.

I don't recommend gift cards you are almost on your own and heard of guys loading cards and being hacked before they get home. The BPS card is run by CapitalOne with great customer service in my experience.

thank you all for your responses. do you have a favorite online store?

I usually buy from Fasttech, but as of late they haven't had anything really good that I want. They are currently having a sale with a 15% off coupon FT2022. I like Sourcemore's selection better, but their shipping costs are outrageous. I have to really want an item to buy it.

I agree with you there on both places although I purchase most of my mods from Facebook these days:)
Have you been to Sourcemore recently? They have dramatically dropped their shipping costs since May. I made a purchase only a few days ago and the shipping cost was much lower than usual, that's to OZ though:thumb:

I haven't been buying anything anywhere lately. I just had to spend $700 on car repairs. I had heard that SM had lowered their shipping costs, though. I don't know by how much to the US. I guess they may have been losing enough business because of their shipping costs and poor shipping services that they finally listened to their customers.
