Current state of E-Cig research?

I know that Boston University is currently conducting an E-Cig study.
Does anyone know of any other studies (i.e. research) that's being conducted?
Or the results of any recent studies?

Those of us who participated in the BU study are supposed to be getting an e-mail when they publish. I'm sure someone will post it here.

As for current info, I haven't really looked into it too much but I don't think there's much out there yet. I know that inhaled pg has been studied extensively in the past but that's about it.

I think each government in the world refuses to fund a research like this. It's like funding your downfall.

The government is too tied up with big tobacco and the court mandated payments to see the light. $2 billion a year from one company? More from the rest. Doing away with BT (which vaping could do) would stop those payments. The FDA is under pressure to curb alternatives.

Unfortunately, most of the research right now is intended to back up the argument that PVs should be banned. There was a study by Harvard that determined, by looking at the harmful chemicals in PVs versus the harmfull chemicals in cigarettes, that PVs were safer and were effective at getting people off cigarettes. I believe the government of New Zealand did a similar study and came to a similar conclusion. The big unknown here is the long term effects. PVs haven't been around long enough to know for sure.
