I'm not a smoker unless you count the ~1 pack I've had over the course of 20 years of rare trips to the bar that even less frequently involve a cig or two.
My wife is an ex-smoker of almost 18 years smoke-free.
Her brother was a 1.5 packer for 20+ years (unfiltered, roll-yer-own type). On a whim, she ordered the Halo G6 with Torque 56 (24mg/ml). He loves it. Immediately dropped to 1 analog per day (had to have his after-dinner smoke), and about a month later, he's been analog free for a week with no desire for analogs. Apparently, the Torque 56 is a very harsh flavor with an aggressive throat hit that really simulated the sensations of his analog habit.
Sound like good news, eh? So why am I cursing these things? It's the allure of nicotine! Having enjoyed the rare buzz, I was tempted to try vaping for lulz.
So, we order a G6 kit to split between us. That was a big mistake. My wife clearly needed two batteries of her own.
We ordered a plethora of flavors in 5mg bottles from vapor bomb. I am smitten with the French Vanilla. I now have a 1 cartomizer per 2-3 day habit!
The nicotine buzz is quite nice. I know you're supposed to take precautions, but I like to make sure I get a drop or two on me while refilling a cartomizer... count to 20 and *grin*...
I have found that super-saturating the cartomizers really extends their life; however, it's probably a bit wasteful. Leave the bottom cover on; 25 drops is usually the minimum, and yeah, I just fill 'em right up to the top, to hell with the "don't get it in the hole". Let them sit the requisite 10 minutes to make sure the fibers are saturated, dump the remainder back into the bottle and/or suck out the excess with a dropper, remove the bottom cover and gently blow the remainder back into the bottle. Blow a little harder into a paper towel, dab the excess, then do a test suck to make sure there's no gurgling; if gurgling, blow again into the paper towel, and dab the excess. Install and take a few small 1 second draws until it starts vaping nicely. I'm sure I'm wasting a bit, but it really seems to get the cartomizer saturated.
Damn things seem to stay wet for a really long time... granted, I'm likely a light user, but even the wife seems to appreciate my refilling efforts.
I have also found a preference for the manual battery. I drown in vapor when I use my wife's automatic... I like a 1-2 second burn at most for a full inhale.
Anyway, that's my experience. A former non-smoker, who has taken up vaping just for the lulz...
Curse these things!
