So today I got for you a review of my High Power Custom Saber Touch VariVolt from Sir_Lawrence over at VaporMoon.com. Upon arrival of this mod(two weeks ago), I was simply blown away by the look of it. Sir_Lawrence did an EXCELLENT job on powder coating this device. It is a Phazer Kiwi with a Mirror Black Base Coat. Complete with the six turned lines(which actually serve a purpose). Here's the pic he sent me before I got it, I'll have some other pics later(sorry my camera broke:()

Now let's get into the function of this device. This is a Variable Voltage Device that runs on 2 16340's(I recommend AW IMR). Power level is adjusted by tiny screw on the side, which is sunken in to avoid accidental bumps causing voltage a change. It feel's very firm , but yet very easy to turn. Now there are different ways to get the voltage you want.
1..Use supplied atty connector with test leads hooked up to multimeter(full instructions on this were supplied)
2..Purchase an under load meter(available on his site) which I also did
3..Puff and adjust(my Method of Choice)
I have only used Ikenvape 901's(of various ohms). With the LR1.8's I simply attached meter, touched sensor while adjusting screw till I was at 4.2(fresh Battery level) Removed meter, attached atty, fired device and turned screw till I got desired Taste, That simple. No pushing button to adjust, take a puff, realize its not right, push button to adjust, take a puff, realize it's not right................ It is just flat out simple!!! Now with a 2.5ohm again set to 5 volts attach atty, turn screw while puffing to get desired taste. Now the Good thing is set it and forget it!!! If you're used to using
a specific atty, flavor don't change to much with different joose, it does change though, so simly turn the screw just a hair while puffing!! Believe me just a slight turn does the trick!! And the power behind this is incredible. I've mostly been using an Ikenvape 901(2.5 ohm) at 4.68 and it pumps out the vapor and flavor like no other.

So now I'll tell you the purpose of those beautiful turned lines, COMPLETION!! Being that this mod has a touch sensor, it needs a completion of circuit to fire. Most of the time, you would just touch the endcap, but this one's are powdercoated so completion is done by simply placing fingers in the lines when you hold it and touch the sensor. Beleive me when I tell you this one is TOUCHY!!!! I can simply slide my finger with my skin barely on the sensor and it fires(but it won't fire in my pocket). Again, just like with the mini, I find this VERY NICE for pulsing!

As far as battery life goes, well I get almost the whole day with it set at 4.68 with a 2.5ohm atty, so I'll say it's fair. But I really use this device with the passthru at home(but I'll get to that the next time), so no voltage drop, which you will notice on this devise. But not so much as while puffing, but rather sensor stops being sensitive.

So that's what I got for you on the Saber Touch VV from VaporMoon.com. I probably could say more, but I think this gives you a clear picture, if not, feel free to ask any questions, and I'll do my best to answer them for you.
So in the end....I give this device

The implantation of the HP sabers has made me seriously consider buying one.

The HP versions were meant to cater to dual coil users if I'm correct, and that is why I'm so interested in them. If anyone else with an HP variable saber could chime in with some details about how they work with the dual coils, I would appreciate it :)

And to the OP, that is a nice looking mod! I'm always glad to hear people reall happy with their mods :)

Thank You MediocreTrombonist, Sir_Lawrence did a wonderful job on this one. It got shipped off to the Philippines, but I had one equally as beautiful created to replace this one. Now you are correct in that the HP version will handle dual coils. I have not tried them myself as of yet, but I do intend to. The Saber Touch with the HP option will handle 5 amps!! Here's a link to a video showing the HP option:)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZIGiDEGdVo&feature=player_embedded
