I'm quite confused by the tracking information for a shipment from Vapor Geek. First of all, the shipment is coming from BC and was shipped via xpresspost on Friday. However, the tracking today says it was released by customs, still in BC, and has been released to Canada Post for processing.

According to Canada Post, Xpress should only take 2-3 days max... And it hasn't even left BC yet? And what's this nonsense about customs?!

Here's a link: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?execution=e1s2

Now perhaps Vapor Geek only just got it to the Post today, although tracking number was provided on Friday? I'm not in a rush, so if true it's no biggie. I don't track a lot of domestic shipments either - is that customs BS just like a cookie cutter notification?

FYI, your link just brings you to the CP tracking page, doesn't include your specific tracking, but anyway....

That seems really strange! I don't think that it's a cookie cutter notification - I always track domestic (as well as international) shipments and domestic have NEVER shown up at customs. If you don't receive your parcel in tomorrow's mail, I would contact the vendor so that they can put in a ticket at CP -- as far as I know, xpress post are guaranteed deliveries and subject to a refund if not delivered within the specified time frame.

perhaps a drop shipment ? idk, just throwing out possibilities.

dollars to donuts thats the answer... some businesses find it better to operate on a dropship basis, at least until they develop their client base, as opposed to carrying stock upfront... less liability for the storefront company.

I wouldn't worry.

Gotta love CP! Yes, that's my tongue in cheek! I order the majority of my gear from two places. One in Ontario, and the other in B.C. and for some strange reason I get my shipments faster from the supplier in Ontario than from B.C.! Both are shipped XPresspost with 2-3 day delivery "guarantee," but yet the order from B.C. always shows up a day later.
As far as the Customs bit, that is a bit strange. It almost sounds like somebody at CP pushed the wrong button!
