Sorry about being lazy here tonight and not looking for the answered but just finished 4 12 hour night shifts lol.

Ok so this will be my first attempt at making some of my own flavours of juice. Just a few simple questions. Will us my ratios as examples so I can understand this better and make sure I understand it well.

Starting out with a 30ml bottle of 36mg unflavoured nic juice pg. Would like to break it down to 18mg as that is what I am using now.

So if I take have the bottle (15ml) put it into another bottle. The I would add either (ideally) 15ml of unflavoured pg (or 15ml of pg/vg mixture). Adding distilled water if this mixture proves to be too thick.

Now would my calculations give me 2 bottles of 30ml, 18mg unflavoured juice? Or am I missing something? Then once I have this jucie I can take small amounts and slowly add whatever flavouring I would like to try.

Please let me know if you think this would wrk or if I have completely fooled myself into thinking it could be this easy.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can do that but if you add flavors which are usually mixed anywhere from 10%-20% of the total mix you will not have 18mg per ml anymore because you diluted it with the addition of flavor.

Use a calculator. This is a favorite of many on ECF. http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,205.msg421.html

I would also advise a good nights sleep before messing with nicquid.......IMHO.......Good Luck.

Hahaha wow just reread my own post.............lots of typing errors lol. Ok thanks I never thought of the flavouring being watered down...that will help me. And no not doing any mixing tonight..........way too tired for that.

so I would cut back on the pg or the vg as much as I am going to add for flavouring..............does this sound right.

lol never was any good at following recipes!!

Just finding that after a couple of days of vaping the same flavour....I can't taste it much so some new flavours without breaking the bank would be great and I already have all the ingredients. Should be very interesting to see what I come up with.

Yes on cutting back the VG/PG. Do yourself a favor and use the calculator at least untill you get familiar with your mg per ml of niquid and the amount of flavor you like in your mixes it will save you a lot of ooops mixes. It makes it much easier and safer.
I have DIY'ed for about 7 months now and that is the calculator I usel, it also gives you a great way to store you recipes.

Ok at first I did not understand the calculator very well, but once I started everything made sense. Got my two bottles of 36mg unflavoured pg nic. Then made two bottles of 20mg unflavoured 80pg/20vg. I wanted an nic unflavoured base so I could just take about 5ml and then add flavouring (just incase I don't like it). So far tried the raspberry and the irish cream! The raspberry is very overpowering even in very small amounts............but the irish cream....wow is very good at 10%....but may try a little higher as I love the flavour.

Turns out the calculator is very easy to use, and makes it very easy to calculate no matter the amount you are using.

Now I do understand that because I started with a set base that by adding different amounts of flavouring I will be reducing the nic per ml content............however I started on 18mg a week ago......that is why I wanted my base to be 20mg/ml

Please if anyone ever sees that I am not doing something correct in my numbers in here....feel free to correct me at any point.

Thanks for the input it really helped.
