Hello, I have just ordered my first batch of VG e liquid. I have heard that this fluid can be thicker than PG and create problems for the atomizers. I have also heard that you can have trouble getting it to absorb into the carts. I was wondering if there was a good way of thinning the fluid and if it was recommended? Is it water soluble. Would water work? Is there a better substance to use? Thanks much.

If you bought preflavored VG eliquid then it is already diluted to thin the viscosity. There is nothing inherent about VG that would harm the atomizer. If used in the pure undiluted form it would tend to hang around the coil and it wouldn't wick well, but unless someone doesn't know what they are doing and makes a DIY batch for themselves then this simply won't be the case. If you are going to do DIY - every post on using VG will tell you to dilute it with either distilled or deonized water or pure grain alcohol at about a 80:20 ratio. Some are 85:15 but neither of those dilutions will cause any problems.

Even when I add VG to a PG blend the VG is first diluted. I never use VG in it's pure viscous form. Again, if you bought preflavored VG then you won't have to do anything. If you bought pure USP VG then you'll have to dilute as stated above, then add flavoring, and nic eliquid as is appropriate for the nic and flavor level you want. And ... you're going to love the vapor it gets you! :)
