I went to 3 different stores. One employee told me they were told to take them off the shelves but no one knew why. When you try to add them to your cart on cvs.com you get an error message. CVS has also announced they would stop selling tobacco products, maybe this is the same thing. If you think about it, our biggest opposition comes from big pharma, it only makes sense that if a drug store found out they were selling something that disrupted their sales of Nicorette and Chantix, they'd yank it off the shelves. I'm sure there's been a spike in organic cotton ball sales and someone looked into why. Google organic cotton balls and CVS and vaping come up all over the place.

I would not see why CVS would pull it entirely, they are pulling tobacco related products from their shelves, bet there are people that are allergic to numerous things that use organic cotton balls to apply makeup and a host of other uses. Do not see them trying to move those customers over to a competitor like Walgreens over simple cotton balls pulled off the shelves to keep the heathen vapers away from them >_>

I purchased some organic cotton balls from CVS about two weeks ago,and there was no shortage of them. Has this been confirmed? When I ask my knowledgeable friend, Google, the only hits which have the word "discontinued" are forum posts.

Also, since it is indirectly related to vaping, I can't see why they would do such a thing, especially seeing as how crazy people tend to be about everything organic.

 Really? LOL. Because no one uses organic cotton balls for anything besides a tasty vape. Maybe they decided organic cotton cost them too much for the shelf space they take up? Maybe there was a shortage of organic cotton and prices were too high this year?

Hey wait, google.

Organic cotton faces potential supply shortage

Found it!

I solved the mystery :p

ETA: Sorry for the snarkiness, I wasn't trying to be rude! Just joking and hugs :)
