Picked up the goods (RM2, Reo 2.1) at the PO today. Luckily my wire and ohms checker came today too (bonus) I have much to learn. Like don't squank (or is it sqounk?) anyway don't suck and squeeze at same time ! I keep forgetting. Took 3 tries to build coil. Can't get it below 2.3 ohms. 30ga Ka wire, so maybe that is the issue. I'm sure one of my new friends on this forum can advise. Not looking to sub-ohm mind you :) Coil wick was nice and clean tasting. Its a very quiet vape. I really like that. I need need get some dedicated tools, rather then my manicure stuff (nail clippers, tweezers, manicure scissors) Hope the photos aren't too small.

Hey! Nice coil too. To go lower, just wrap a few less wraps. Try about 8 for starters :)

Congrats :)

You can also find something a little smaller in diameter to wrap on. Either way or both ways you'll be using less wire and that equals lower resistance :)

Thank you. I actually had your vid going while I was building ! I'd push pause, mess with it, hit play, then pause and so on. I decided mine was good enough when you said "If I'd used 30 ga Ka, this coil would be around 2 ohm" And mine is, so I let it rip.

You might try pulsing coil and squeeze wrap together between pulses until tight together - making it a micro coil rather than loose wound - it might reduce the resistance a little - easier for me to re-wick.

I use 28 gauge 11 wraps 5/64th bit micro coil (each loop of wire touching and torched or pulsed together - ala Rip Trippers method YouTube)) and it routinely measures 1.5 ohms - the thicker wire is easier for me to wrap and provides a lower resistance.

I use 28 gauge kanthal in everything from evods to rda/RTAs etc.
