Hi there!
I'm Distruzio and I'm a newb around these parts. I've only been vaping for 6 months but I'm all in for sure. It allows me to satisfy my nic addiction while indoors and spend some quality time with my family (which were the factors pressing me to quit smoking - health and safety were secondary to family obligations). Plus, at this point in my vaping journey I've found that not only has vaping become necessary for my daily life its become a hobby as well (I've been restricted to 2 coil wraps a day by the wife because I was becoming obsessive with getting the perfect setup... which is understandable ).

After 6 months, however, I've found that certain vaping "habits" have crept into my daily routine.

In the mornings, that first vape we all crave absolutely has to my cappuccino flavored and 24mg/nic alongside my coffee. I walk my son to the bus stop and, for that, I switch to the fruit loops 12mg/nic. For work breaks I tend to drift back and forth from key lime pie to lemon meringue pie at 18mg nic. And after work its back to fruit loops but at 6mg/nic and 95%vg to relax the days woes away.

Aside from the morning cup of joe alongside my cappuccino, i never touch my Aspire Atlantis V2 (which stays filled with that flavor alone). I drip all day. Even in the car which is... hazardous (thus my plan to purchase an egrip Wednesday).

This is a ritual of mine. What about you? Do you switch up devices, juices, nic and vg levels throughout the day like i do? Or do you stick with a single ADV?

Normally I don't switch like that anymore.
I typically vape unflavored all day and night. All the same nicotine level as well. I run 2 devices both with the same unflavored in them.
When I vaped flavors, I'd typically vape something more along the lines of a bakery flavor then switch to whatever my favorite at the time was afterwards.

It's a constant evolution for most. Especially during the first year. I used to switch flavors all the time. Get shinyitis and buy stuff just cuz. Always looking for something new.

There is no right or wrong or strange. Whatever it takes for the individual to be satisfied and away from tobacco is the primary goal.

Over the last 10 months or so I've pretty much settled in to 8 DIY recipes and vape the same flavor for 1-3 days before switching. I vape just about the same amount every day (2.5mls) and don't mess with high powered stuff anymore. It's become routine and hassle free. The only thing I change is nic strength. I'm down to 8mg in my regular tanks and drop a little every 3 months. I'm not trying to ween off nic or anything. I just don't need as much to be satisfied.

mine is pretty consistent I guess

upon waking up,

anything sweet,while prepping for bfast,
this is not even before mouthwash or gurgles in the morning..

then along side my cup of coffee would any tobacco flavored juice...
dripped as always...

same thing,warming up my bike,dripped,tobacco

at work,
depends on work load..
super stressed moments would conjure up my 12mg of nic and 70watt limit
and cloudchase..

then alternated with lychees

then at home,tobacco pretty much

I vape, for the most part, the same way I smoked.. When I smoked I used 1 brand and flavor of cigarettes for 35 years, and was happy.. This is why I say for the most parts, because. I vape I no longer smoke, I do vape several different flavors, (all NETs), I am vaping Pipe and cigar tobacco (not something I did much as a smoker), My only complaint about vaping. Is the time you have to spend on maintenance. The daily rewicking is bad enough without having to wrap new coils every few wicks. Because you mangle the coil taking the old wick out. I firmly believe that if my Kayfun were a dual coil atty, I might say screw it and buy some Marlboros. Yep I'm saying 5-15 minutes a day of Vape cleaning and maintenance, sometimes make cigarettes sound good. After-all STRESS does kill nearly as many people as cancer.

ive been cleaning the same coils for about a month now. I always wick my coils with a single strand of cotton and use cotton clouds underneath to soak up the juice. Never had an issue "needing" to rebuild. I just enjoy the tinkering bit.

Cleaning and changing my wick takes me less than 3 minutes every 3 or so days.

I vape NET juices.. I clean my completely gunked over coil every 1 or 2 days. Sometimes said gunk is so cooked on you cant remove the cotton without deforming the coil. It is easier to CHANGE to a new coil than to FIX the old one.

But yeah if I do the work before it is too late, and take my time doing it. I can go WEEKS on a coil. Thing is I rarely want to spend more than the 3 minute to change the wick. Most of the time, its laziness followed by impatience, that causes me to need to change a coil.

I've been vaping for a month and a half now.

At home i vape everything, but tend to go into the sub ohm realm. From 0mg nic to 6mg with various tastes, this is where i experiment and decide what i actually like. I love the "weird" sweeter tastes and bigger clouds. Also i have all my equipment here at home, which is perfect for dripping and the subtanks which tend to suck up my juice to quickly :p. At work or whenever i go out then i'm more conservative, then i take my nautilus 5ml with me and mainly vape the Anise taste from DEA between 9 to 12mg of nic. I find the anise to have a very neutral taste, not to strong and overwhelming.

Total sense! My son asked me on the way to the bus stop, "Daddy how come youre lazy about everfing but vaping?"

Can i ground him for being right?

I vape "Smocha" (coffee, choc/vanilla, and sweet tobacco) first thing in the morning, and after meals. After after 5-6 hits, I start tasting only the tobacco aspect of it, and I don't really like that, so then I go back to my regular ADV, which for the last 5-6 months has been my Strawberry & Cream DIY. I've changed my ADV twice, but this one seems to have the most 'staying power.' As I experiment with making different flavors, I'm sure at some point I'll have some other different ADV, but this one works for now.

The main reason I like something different in the morning is that my "regular" vape has truly great TH, but when I first wake, I can't really take it without coughing, so I need softer TH on first waking. Likewise, after eating anything, TH always seems much stronger to me, and also, after eating is the ONLY time when anything tobacco-ish tastes even halfway decent to me. That may change, the longer I'm away from cigarettes, to where I don't like that taste at all, anytime; I've already gone from tobacco-only to tobacco-seldom-and-briefly.

I've got a bunch of Pro Tanks, been buying them up lately since I wanted to be ready if the regs come down on us. I take PT mini's on Spinner batteries to work, or any time I go out. In the evening I mostly use a couple of Lemo's. But I keep all my PT's filled with different flavors so I can have a drag of whatever takes my fancy.

WOW,
that's too much, well atleast for me
my coils last me like a month,i do rewick twice a day even up to 4 times a day,

if youre on cotton and contact coils,
you can dry burn the cotton until it actually takes up fire then rinse well with water.
ofcourse let it cool a bit

Mine's pretty simple. Unflavored or some menthol variation during the afternoons, unflavored or some light tobacco variation after about 9pm. I sleep odd hours...about 4am-11am so there is no "morning" for me...hehe.

I'll tell you what's odd, though. When I smoked I had to have a smoke within 10 minutes of getting up. With vaping, I don't get the urge so bad and will usually wait half an hour or so until I've actually woken up before I start vaping.

You can dry burn the cotton out with spaced coils also. Don't even need to rinse. If you do the burn correctly you can BLOW the ash off the coil. Making coils last a month is not a problem if you tinker with them. I just find installing a fresh coil faster and easier than fixing a coil. I tend to wrap my coils in bulk, 5-10 at a time. When I get down to 2 or 3, I wrap a bunch more. About the only time I wrap coils when wicking is if I want to change gauge or ohm rate for whatever reason. and don't have the desired pre-wrap coil on the peg board. Right now I have about 20 coils, waiting, half 29awg and half Twisted 32awg, in rates from 1.5-2.4ohms. I conflicted as to whether I like the twisted coils better than the single wire 29s.

I vape unflavored all day in a RTA. Sometimes at night I like to "blow a few clouds" on my RDA with the same unflavored. Night time is also a good time for me to vape a little desert flavor.

When I think of vape habits I think more about daily maintenance.

I always leave the tank near empty at the end of the day for a fresh fill in the morning. All the 510 connections get a cleaning with isopropyl 91% everyday. Regulated box always has a second set of charged batteries. Mechanicals get a switch cleaning every few days. Then I set everything I use on a table and look at it.
