2 Peter 1:21 (NIV)
For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
– Philippians 4:6-7

Yeah, I've been biten by a wolf many times. I have found that going back to Scripture to equate something, makes a difference, however, you want to believe your friends, co-workers, etc., but they can be a wolf in sheep's clothing. False prophets are fairly easy to spot for a born-again, but like I said, wolves can be anyone. That's what has happened to me. People you thought you really knew were talking the talk and walking the walk.....in front of you, because they know who you are, but you don't know who they are. You want to trust people. And THE thing is that I've never known why and probably never will. These were 2 dear friends for years. The only thing I can come up with is that the spirits were clashing. But, Jesus is our Great Physician. He gave us the Holy Spirit within and we are comforted and healed through Him.

Exodus 20:8 (NIV)
"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy."

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

This is what is referred to as the 'Great Commission.' Jesus told us directly what to do. I've read this many times and have been a bit perplexed at the last 7 words....we are eternal....no end. So why does Jesus mention an end? It finally slapped me upside the head (a NCIS moment) that He possibly means 'the church age?' The last 7 years of the tribulation period is the 70th weekof Daniel for Israel. Okay, all, tell me what you think! Interesting, isn't it? Just a thought. :)

"even to the end of the age.” Amen."

I've went to the side notes in my Bible given reference to Acts 4:31, Acts 18:10, Acts 23:11

My conclusion is end of age is speaking on the following Scriptures

    Matthew 24
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Okay, MM. What you are saying through Scripture is that it could either be the rapture or the 2nd coming. I can understand either one......or maybe the end of the millenium. Regardless of which one it is, Jesus said He'd be with us.......period! :)

"even to the end of the age.”

IMO: this can only mean, PHILIPPIANS 2:10-11

    10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    And

    ISAIAH 45:23-25

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

    -------------------------

IMO: All will agree and say He is God and this will be the START of a NEW age (ETERNAL AGE) and all things have past away including the end of the age

    Matthew 5:7 (NIV)
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

    1 Corinthians 13:4 (NIV)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.

I was reading in VP post and my thoughts went straight to Matthew 11 verses 28 to 30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

This is true in most situations, but catch me on an extremely bad day, I fail. But then, Almighty God shows me His love is patient and kind. Then I become ashamed of myself. It's difficult to be patient and kind when you feel lousy and your pain level is elevated to an 8. What is it that Paul said......'I do the things I don't want to do and don't do the things I should do.' Of course this is not a direct quote, but you get the idea. Isn't it wonderful that God invented 2nd chances, 274th chances, etc.

I still have those days. I now tell my husband in advance that I'm having one of those days and his best bet is to just leave me alone until I am able to obtain being patient and kind once again. :)

    John 6:35 (NIV)
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."

Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

I bet you think you know what I'm going to say! Wrong.....even though John 14:1-3 is one of my favorites, but I'm ready for Jesus to come and get me! I'm ready for my log cabin, and I want each and everyone of you to come over and fellowship with me. My desire is to play a full size harp! I wouldn't even mind sitting on a cloud too! :laugh:I have it all mapped out in my head. I don't need a 'mansion.' I love wood and would love for Jesus to teach me to work with wood, among 40 million other things. :)

Not too long ago, when my husband and I took our 4-legged kids out one night, I like to look up to the heavens and say hello to Jesus and Almighty God. One particular night, I don't remember if I was having a particularly bad day, but I remember asking Jesus to come and get me soon....that night even. He asked me if I wanted the blood on my hands of the people who could be saved but weren't because I wanted Him to come back for us before it was time. Of course I was a little shocked, and tried to look at the situation through His eyes. I felt so foolish, really. There is not ONE need that He hasn't supplied for me. I have a wonderful husband, thank You, Lord, a nice home, food on the table, a sister whom I now get along with, a son I am very proud of (the good proud), clothes for my back, all of you wonderful people, great friends from Missouri to Florida to New York, wonderful 4-legged kids, a mother-in-law who is the epitome of a giving Christian, a vehicle I feel safe driving and riding in, 3 gorgeous healthy granddaughters, great doctors and medication to help me, and the list goes on and on. Why are God's gifts never enough? Why do I complain? I realize that pain will do that, but I'm no one special. I hope I'm not the only one here, but if I am, I want to say here and now.....I'm a spoiled brat and He proved it to me that night. He was firm in what He told me. The Voice was stern, but still loving, and I shut my mouth rather quickly and felt ashamed. I don't receive a stern answer most times, but that night I did. I don't like being taken to the wood shed, but I deserved it that night because of my whinning. I feel like I am the only one. Am I? Have you been taken to the wood shed recently or ever? Please let me know I'm not the only one! :(,
