Hi.. i started to vape 2 weeks ago, and instead of 10-20 cigarettes per day, i smoke now 2-5... feeling great :)...

i started with some chip ....ty e-cig, and now i got the Joye510..

i got some questions, if u can answer some (even if not) i'm thankful :)

1. does smoking e-cig cause any damage i should be aware of?...
im ordering from Chinese suppliers because i live in Israel and the US company's
not shipping to Israel or charge a lot for shipping.. so i wonder if something can go wrong.. like poisoned eliquid or stuff... :|

2. i ordered from:e-cigarette-china.com my joye. and 2 flavors - winston (which is the analog i use to smoke) and marlboro..

the winston tastes like nuts... and its 36 NL so its ....ing tares my throat.. :)

and the marlboro is fine.. not reminding marlboro tho...

yersterday i got 5 more juices, from: e-cigarette-mart-c-o-m

i got:

banana - didnt try it... smells like ......
coca cola - smokable.. but not more then that..
Dr. peper - fine.. not amazing...
Vanilla - taste like crap with vanila drops..
Green tea - bitter... damn... taste like madness...

anyway... how do i know where to get eliquid that will be good?... w'ont harm, and will taste good..?

u have any tips?.. about good tastes and good suppliers?..

and what Dekang means?..

3. does E-ciggar or E-Pipe is any good?.. better then the regular e-cigs?...

4. what is cartos?... where can i get it?.. and what the different between regular carts?...

5. how do you fill your carts?... i use the tea bag method.. i dont know if it is good...?

6. i ordered the Ego from HealthCabin.com, should i buy anithing else except the Starters kit?...

Because of quality control issues and how often Chinese goods have been found with dangerous chemicals in them, I've chosen to go with a supplier of juices that I feel confident produces quality juice. I order most of my juices from Tasty Vapor, but also order from a few other vendors that make their own juices. I know Tasty Vapor will ship overseas, so that may be an option for you.

Tasty Vapor

To be perfectly honest, we don't know the long term effects of vaping. All I know is that my short term experiences have shown that they are infinitely safer than cigarettes. That's only anecdotal evidence, though, so it's worth what you paid for it.

Cartos are a combination cartridge and atomizer. I like them better than cartridges with an atomizer for times when I can't direct drip, but dripping is my favorite way to vape.

That's all I've got for you. Don't worry about your English, it's much, much better than my Hebrew.

the e-cig juice is propelyne glycol or glycerine with nicotine and flavoring....so while the long term effects havent been studied comon sense tells us it's a better alternative than smoking combustable cigarettes

ok this is the part that's kinda difficult for me to understand but I'll do my best to answer...
First Dekang is the chinese company that makes the majority of Eliquid..

Taste is otherwise subjective so it really hard to tell what you will like or not...

when first switching to Eliquid it'll have a drying effect on your throat and possibly make it feel sore...this is normal...drink more water to stay hydrated...
if the 36mg strength is too much you can dilute it with PG or VG (glycerine)

3. does E-ciggar or E-Pipe is any good?.. better then the regular e-cigs?...
some people prefer those models...yes

4. what is cartos?... where can i get it?.. and what the different between regular carts?...
a carto is short for cartomizer....in a 2 piece ecig the atty and cartridge are combines in a cartomizer...they can be refilled but are often considered disposeable items
versus a 3 piece ecig that uses an atomizer and cartridge
5. how do you fill your carts?... i use the tea bag method.. i dont know if it is good...?
tea bags are good...one of the more popular cartridge modifications

6. i ordered the Ego from HealthCabin.com, should i buy anithing else except the Starters kit?...

tried my best to give you some answers...welcome to the forum...the eGo should serve you well...
you can get cartomizers from health cabin as well...and possibly a 510 battery to 901/808 adapter as well and then you can try cartos on the eGo battery...

another china company you may want to look at is heaven-gifts ...they have eGos as well as well as the new mega ego atomizers and eGo specific cartos since you already did your order with healthcabin

All good advice, but I would also like to mention that it sounds like you are still trying to find the nicotine level (mg) that is right for you. It also seems that you may be having an issue with the all-PG based juices that are much harsher on your throat.

Too much nicotine will make you feel as if you have swallowed a little tobacco. Your stomach will feel upset or even burn a little. You might need to make an unexpected trip to the toilet. You might also get a small headache that lasts 10 - 15 minutes.

If none of those happen, but your throat hurts (maybe even when you are NOT vaping) then you might be sensitive to PG and should try PG/VG mix and an all-VG juice.

I would suggest you sort these two questions out before looking for your favorite flavors.

Also, don't throw out the stuff you don't like, it will be useful when you learn to mix.

I would provide links to more info, but it's hard to do with a phone and my thumb is tired :). I'm sure somebody else will help.

Welcome!!

I smoked Black and Mild cigars, 5 to 8 each day, and yes, inhaling them just like cigs. I have no idea what nicotine level the B&Ms are though. I just started vaping and I got 25 mg/ml juices. The throat hit is worse, more harsh, than the B&Ms. I was surprised. With you using 36 mg/ml juice, it may be too much and that does affect the feel and flavor I think.

I will be buying some zero nicotine juices and diluting mine down. If you dilute with just PG or VG, the flavor will go down too. And as someone said, may as well keep the juices even if they are not your favorites right now. Your sense of taste will probably change over time if ou stop smoking tobacco, and you can always blend them with another juice to change the flavor.

I have an eGo and love it. Amazing amount of vapor, awesome battery life, seems to me to be really well constucted (I am a mechanical engineer). Overall, really impressed so far, except for my choice of juice strength.

I did get a bottle of Torque 56 in lower dose, 12 mg/ml and it is the only juice I have that I can vape for more than a couple minutes. If I take more than a few hits of the 25mg juice, I feel uneasy. Not pleasant.

Hope you figure it out and enjoy vaping! :)

Tecter:

Welcome to ECF and to the world of E-cigs. I have been hanging around this website for over a year now; hwr, I wished I'd found it before buying my first e-cig. I'm not saying it was a bad one or anything but I could have learned so much more about e-liquids, mixing, diluting with PG/VG, adding more or less nicotine liquid to control the nicotine cravings - or my "Nic Fits" as I used to call them.

I was still using analogs (1-2 a day tho' I wasn't smoking the entire analog in those first days after I began vaping when I found this site). It was like coming home when I found this website. The subscribers, moderators, and suppliers who helped me get my footing in the e-cig world. I've not long ago hit my 1-year anniversary mark on e-cigs; despite the many medical problems I deal with every day, I feel better now than I have since the medical problems began to interrupt and interfere w/ my day-to-day life as well as former career choices. A few examples include being able to breath freely for a change, not having that heavy anvil-like weight on my chest, which I can only imagine was attributed to the tar and crap from the analogs that were destroying my lungs from the inside out, the smoker's cough, yada, yada, yada, in addition to the smell of tobacco analogs in my home and on my clothes.

This is probably going to sound silly but while I do still enjoy the smell of curing tobacco when riding by a tobacco barn during the curing season, I find it difficult to tolerate the smell of actual burning analog cigarettes. I am not sure if I can put this into words well b/c I've lost most of my sight with the exception of light perception & on good days I can use a zoom program to physically make out the computer screen without the screen reader on to read what is on the page for me but when I am around other smokers of analogs, particularly cheap analog cigarettes, it burns my nose. If I spend enough time around analogs, my eyes begin to burn (not tear thx to Sjogren's) & I get that heavy feeling in my chest again if I am in a room with analog smokers who produce a heavy cloud of analog smoke; however, I don't have that issue when I am around someone smoking a fine cigar. I still love the smell, and esp the taste of a Cuban cigar (yeah, I know it's contraband in the USA - stupid laws!) and others that are made into cigars from finer, higher quality tobacco. I'm also finding that I vape more closely to how I used to (& have taken a few puffs from 1 fine cigar since my e-cig start date) puff on a fine cigar. Anyone who has smoked cigars knows you don't open them or prepare one, esp the fine cigars, until you have time to enjoy them. Also, you don't inhale a cigar's smoke as you do a cigarette (analog, that is). You'd likely turn green around the gills if you did.

Even without drawing from the e-cig and inhaling directly into my lungs, I still get enough nicotine in my system that it sates the nicotine craving.

Tector, the best advice you have here is to hang onto your e-liquids & attempt to dilute them down a little at a time w/ PG and/or VG until you find that sweet spot. Also, you may find that like many former analog smokers, there are specific times of the day when you find that you smoked more heavily than at others such as that first cig in the morning, after meals, with a glass of wine, beer, or other mixed drink, and before going to bed. I'm sure I'm not the only one who used to have a smoke (analog; now e-liquid) after sex.

The assistance from people posting here at ECF helped me understand my analog habits by just reading what others wrote before me. I learned I could increase my e-cig nicotine levels to coincide with times I previously smoked more (1st of the day, after meals, before bed, etc...). This also included times when I felt overwhelmed by stress. It really surprised me when I finally came to grips with the amount I was smoking when I was under a lot of stress. I was literally a chain smoker. I found that higher nicotine doses helped get through those rough patches and still do at some times during the day but overall, my nicotine consumption has dropped considerably since I began using the E-cig.

One more thing, the dry mouth or dry throat feeling... I have that too. At first I thought it was from the Sjogren's since it causes dry eyes and dry mouth but more times than not, it is from the e-liquid itself so I am drinking more fluids, which is a good thing for overall health esp if you can switch to a Cranberry-type drink like Cran-Apple, other juices, Gatorade, or a cold glass or reusable bottle of ice water.

The best advice I can share is from my personal experience and that is to read the forum threads. Read what others tried then see if it may be something that will work for you, if not, try something else until you figure out what changes to make to get the most bang for your buck in your e-cig and the liquids that come with it along with the parts that will require cleaning then switching out entirely over time when cleaning won't bring them back to life. The best part of being an E-cig vaper is the savings I've had over the past year and a month. I am still a moderate to heavy vaper; hwr, I don't spend nearly a 10th if not less on e-liquids, nicotine liquid, PG/VG and even w/the cost of replacing worn beyond use atomizers, cartridges, and batteries. It beats $60+ taxes for a carton of the analogs I bought every 5-6 days to a week every week. Check out out many analogs I have not had plus the money saved in my signature line. It amazes me. I had no idea I was smoking so much & wasting so much money on analogs in addition to the damage that i was doing to my body.

Hope this helps. You have a lot of people with some great tips in this thread. I'm sure you will find answers to the questions you have & will continue to have. It's been my experience that no question is too small or too big for the forum members here. I'd be lost without ECF.

Best of luck to you...
